2 months ago, the Royal College of Art put on an amazing art workshop for Our Place members, surrounding the theme of 'Making Worlds with Others'.

The workshop created a great space for creativity, self-expression, and connection, either through working with words, clay or both!

Interested in creating your own artwork or would like to give arts and crafts a go? Our Place runs an arts group every Monday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Click the link below to see how you can joinon our website!

Happy Sign Language Week! 🤟

This year’s theme, “United in Sign”, celebrates unity, pride, and collective action around sign languages.

At Action on Disability, we support disabled people across Hammersmith & Fulham, including Deaf residents.

At Our Place, we host a monthly, peer-led Deaf Club for BSL users and learners—a friendly space to meet, socialise, and support each other. Sessions include discussions, fun activities, and opportunities to influence local councils and services to improve Deaf access and inclusion.

It was lovely to welcome Joan Viskant, registered nutritionist, to the Our Place coffee morning last week! She shared some really helpful insights on how nutrition and wellbeing can support our overall health. The discussion sparked lots of interest and conversation.

Our Friday coffee mornings are a great place to come for a chat, meet others and connect with the community.

Contact ourplace@aod.org.uk to join!
