Once every 2 weeks on Wednesdays 11am - 1pm, Our Place hosts Writing for Wellbeing sessions. Led by a counsellor, this group offers a safe space to write, reflect and share. There’s no pressure to be a “good” writer — it’s about your story and your voice.

Come join this supportive group that encourages emotional expression, boosts confidence and creativity, and enhances wellbeing by fostering connection and reducing isolation.

Last Friday, 12 Our Place members visited the Victoria and Albert Museum ‘Design and Disability’ exhibition.

It was very interesting to encounter 170 artefacts that showcased how Disabled people have shaped culture from the 1940s to today, highlighting the importance of inclusion, and the power of our collective action in shaping society.

Yesterday, Our Place members ended the year with a fun trip to the Christmas Carols at the Hall concert. It was a festive morning of dancing and singing - thank you to the Royal Albert Hall team!

19/12/2025

Last Friday, we brought festive cheer to Hammersmith Broadway with our AoD Christmas fundraising event!

There were lots of singalongs and dancing from our members, and it was lovely to get the public involved too — from singing and dancing to buying raffle tickets and making generous donations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, sing along, buy raffle tickets, and support AoD, your generosity helps us make a difference.
