Last week we had our Supported Internship Graduation for the H&F interns. This event was a chance to recognise the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our interns — and also to thank the mentors for the vital role they've played in supporting them on their employment journeys. Thank you to everyone who attended and to our guest speakers and interns for sharing their experiences.

On Wednesday evening AoD staff attended and spoke at the National Co-production Week Event 2025. Hosted by Co-production Matters H&F. This event brought together Disabled residents, council officers, councillors, and community organisations who are working collaboratively to transform local services. There were many speakers from Action on Disability and members of AoD’s youth board presented a video, created during their co-production training. The video highlighted the barriers and discrimination that young Disabled people face and the impact it has on their lives.

🐾 Kitten Rescue at AoD! 🐾

This week, AoD staff helped rescue four stray kittens and their mum who were stuck in our garden without food or water.

Thanks to the amazing team at Protected Paws Animal Rescue, all of the kittens are now safe and being looked after — and will soon be ready to find their forever homes. 💛

We’re also incredibly grateful to Hammersmith Fire Brigade for coming out to assist in the rescue efforts. Your support meant the world!

It’s been an eventful few days, but we’re so relieved these little ones are safe. 🐱💕
