Happy Full Moon or Guru Pūrṇimā or Full moon which occurs in the Lunar month of ‘Asadha’ celebrated on 10th July 2025. (Each Full Moon in each Lunar month have a name assigned to the Nakṣatra, the Fixed Star).
from the Vedic Wisdom of the Fixed Stars Nakṣatras for week of 10th July 2025. This full Moon is one of the most auspicious Purnima of the year, as this falls on a Thursday, governed by Jupiter and is also, called as Guru Purnima. Falling across Sagitarius - Gemini Acess, Jupiters mula trikona, and Mercury's svakshetra , it is fitting that it has the luminaries powerful as they are ruled by Jupiter - Mercury respective making it the perfect guru Shishya yoga. Hence the Guru parampara really comes into its own and upholds dharma (Surya, Jupiter) with the blessings of the Mother (Moon) Tara along with her son Mercury. The whole family is here for learning!
This is one of the times of the year where one must acknowledge and meditate of on various teachers, acharyas, Gurus, Parents, Therapist, Mentors and supporters who have taught you something and furthered your journey that we call ‘life’ with all its karmic baggage and previous lifetimes of ‘Saṃskāra’ buildup. No matter how enormous or small the support would have been, whether in the form of a mantra, shloka, some information, a crucial technique, some knowledge given through a course or a whole text.
Fact is that somehow, somewhere, you may have received that vital knowledge that resulted in alteration of your life circumstances and also added some positive value to your mental well-being.
We bring with us a already more or less ‘established framework’ of mental, physical and psychotherapeutic way of being, due to Saṃskāra of previous lifetimes of ‘karma’.
The word Saṃskāra is a complex one and has to be translated as “more, religious rite, ceremony, social observances, formalities and punctilious behaviour.”
But none of these words convey the actual meaning of the Sanskrit term Saṃskāra.
1) Pānini defines Saṃskāra as samparyupebhyaḥ karotu bhūṣaṇe — “that which adorns one’s personality”. Often anyone who has seen children grow up, can notice the differences in the personality which form at a young age. Some of them are distinct and we can say, ‘I am my sister grew up in the same household, yet we are so different’ This is where the previous life’s samskaras have a role to play.
2) The Śabda-koṣa gives us the meaning saṃskārāṇāṃ guṇāntarādhānam saṃskāraḥ — “that which brings about quality transformation”. Here there is a subtle yet distinctly different meaning arising out of saṃskāraḥ - which is
3) In the Jaimini sutras, the Sage explains the term Saṃskāra as: — “an act which makes a certain thing or person fit for a certain purpose”.

Happy Amāvāsyā Moon on 25th June 2025, From the Vedic Wisdom of the Fixed Stars Nakṣatras for week of 25th June 2025.
The New Moon Amāvāsyā begins in the in lunar Month of jyestha
In constellation of Ardra, Vedic deity of it is the Rudra. Rudra for human being in this Kali Yuga is one of the most important forms of Siva for us. There is no doubt in that, as the 8th house and Saturn, are our bulk of afflictions in our lives. Naturally our mind takes us to the ekādaśa-rudra) Rudra (रुद्र) —eleven emanations of Rudra according to the Aṃśumadbhedāgama and the Śilparatna. The images of this aspects of Śiva should have three eyes, four arms, jaṭāmakuṭas and be of white colour. It should be draped also in white clothes and be standing erect (samabhaṅga) on a padmapīṭha. As per Viśvakarma-śilpa, the names are given as:
1. Aja,
2. Ekapāda,
3. Ahirbudhnya,
4. Virūpāksha,
5. Revata,
6. Hara, (hara hara Mahadev)
7. Bahurūpa,
8. Tryambaka, Trymbaka Shiva)
9. Sureśvara,
10. Jayanta,
11. Aparājita.
The creation of Rudra is complex and very much multifaceted. The list varies and there are also some texts carrying 12 Rudras. Rudra was born from between the eyebrows of Brahmā as the result of his anger, generated from the mode of passion partly touched by ignorance, is of importance in the idea of Rudra. ŚB 3.12.11
हृदिन्द्रियाण्यसुर्व्योम वायुरग्निर्जलं मही ।
सूर्यश्चन्द्रस्तपश्चैव स्थानान्यग्रे कृतानि ते ॥ ११ ॥
hṛd indriyāṇy asur vyoma
vāyur agnir jalaṁ mahī
sūryaś candras tapaś caiva
sthānāny agre kṛtāni te
My dear boy, I have already selected the following places for your residence: the heart, the senses, the air of life, the sky, the air, the fire, the water, the earth, the sun, the moon and austerity.
In Bhagavad-gītā (3.37Bhagavad-gītā Chapter Three: Karma-yoga
श्री भगवानुवाच
काम एष क्रोध एष रजोगुणसमुद्भ‍वः ।
महाशनो महापाप्मा विद्ध्येनमिह वैरिणम् ॥ ३७ ॥
the principle of Rudra is described. The egocentric attitude is a manifestation of the Rudra principle in the heart, wherein krodha (anger) is generated. It is lust only, Arjuna, which is born of contact with the material mode of passion and later transformed into wrath, and which is the all-devouring sinful enemy of this world.
This aspect of Rudra is one of the most important aspect in our life as therapists/Astrologers/Jyotishis. It is because, this anger develops in the heart as we feel the need to fulfil our passions whatever they may be. Whether it is the pull of the knowledge which may make us l***y for material advancements and glory of all kinds. Often failure of some kind may spring us into a sense of frustration and leaving us angry. This anger is further manifested through various senses, like the eyes, hands and legs.
With every passing decade, as a Raj Jyotisha, the wisdom needs to appear, where in you would want to ‘non attach’ to the results and the constant seeking of material benefits. It is this ambitious lust which induces the pure living entity to remain entangled in the material world. Wrath is the manifestation of the mode of ignorance.
There are many earthly creatures who constantly represent the Rudra element. The snake, tiger and lion are always representations of Rudra. When the Rudra principle is exhibited by persons who are not engaged in the devotional service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the angry person falls down from the peak of his improved position.
Rudra as the “Howling One” is One of the male offspring from Mahākālī (tamas-form of Mahādevī). Also known as Śiva or Saṅkara (“Causing Prosperity, Beneficent, Auspicious”). Mahākālī is one of the three primary forms of Devī, the other two being Mahālakṣmī and Mahāsarasvatī. Not to be confused with Kālī, she is a more powerful cosmic aspect (vyaṣṭi) of Devi and represents the guṇa (universal energy) named tamas. Also see the Devī Māhātmya, a Sanskrit work from the 5th century.
Rudra also refers to the Rudramudrā refers to one of the fifty-three Mudrās (ritual hand gestures) described in chapter 22 (Caryāpāda) of the Padmasaṃhitā: the most widely followed of Saṃhitā covering the entire range of concerns of Pāñcarātra doctrine and practice (i.e., the four-fold formulation of subject matter—jñāna, yoga, kriyā and caryā) consisting of roughly 9000 verses.—Description of the chapter [mudrālakṣaṇa-vidhi]: Brahmā asks the meaning, uses and varieties of mudrā-gestures. Bhagavān says these finger movements are ways to fend off evil and to prevent those taking pleasure in harming others. Furthermore, they please the Lord-so long as they are demonstrated in private (1-5a). This is such a m,onumental text for mudras, that even coming from Rigveda, mudras form an integral part of this base of knowledge. For example all the semi vowels, vowels, consonants can be expressed in terms of hand mudras or gestures. Hrasvamudra - Mudra for short (hrasva) syllables. All fingers are 2. extended in all joints and all fingers except the thumb are in apposition with each other. Eg:-Devasya, Asavi, Gayata Murdhanyamudra - Mudra for retroflex (murdhanya). Consonants, viz, ta, tha, da, dha, na, sa and la followed by short vowel or e. Ring finger flexed at metacarpophalangeal joint and first interphalangeal joint, extended at last interphalangeal joint, all other fingers extended and separated from each other.
This is of course just an instance, so there are mudras for mantras ending in certain syllables etc.
We just finished Divinations Bharata 2025 Conference (one day left and registration still open) where my talk has been on Mudras.
And after researching for months on end on the Mudras, I was absolutely fascinated to the extent of the knowledge base coming from Siva in the form of Rudra who is responsible for this vast monumental work.
Hence this New Moon, Ardra falling completely in gemini, exaltation of Rahu/3rd house matters, (mudras is of course a ‘3rd house matter’ is fitting that all the Eka Dasa or dwadasa Rudras should preside over this knowledge. Of course the Knowledge of Siva is never without some tapas involved. No pain no gain!
ॐ नमो भगवते रुद्राय Om Namo Bhagavate Rudraye

Happy Rama Navami to all and last day of Navratri (9 Nights of Durga) ending in 9th day form of Durgā is Siddhidātri– bestower of powers. She strengthens ketu and anyone with weak ketu or if ketu is strong (3rd, 10th, 11th) will bestow strong powers siddhis of perfections of knowledge . As she is the 9th day, it is right that she bestows wisdom and path to enlightenment, as ketu rules this, as the journey of bhogi pleasures of various kinds with earlier forms of Durga and finally to culminate in ketu as yogi by giving siddhis. 18 siddhis core ones are possible.. Also we celebrate Rama Navami, Sri Ram's birthday Solar-Lunar (tithi). One of the greatest names for Japa is Rama. Once Great sages like Mudgala, Sandilya, Paingala, Bikshu, Sanaka and Prahlada approached Lord Hanuman, who was a great devotee of Vishnu and asked him,
3-4. “Which is the greatest principle among the four Veda-s, 18 purana-s, 18 Smriti-s, Sastra-s, all knowledge and among the great powers ruled by the Sun and moon?” the greatest principle among these is the principle of Brahma Taraka (OM). Rama is Para-Brahma and supreme austerity, and Rama is the Supreme Essence and Brahma Taraka.”
7. They all again asked, Lord Hanuman," Please tell us the angas (aspects) of Lord Rama.”
Lord Hanuman told, “Please understand that Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Durga, all the Kshetra Palakas, Sun, Moon, Lord Narayana, Lord Narasimha, Lord Vasudeva, Lord Varaha, Lord Lakshmana, Shatrughna, Bharata, Vibheeshana, Sugreeva, Angada, Jambavanta and Pranava are the angas of Lord Rama. Without these angas, Lord Rama will not remove all roadblocks.
They again asked, “How will Brahmins and householders get the capacity to recite Pranava?” He said, “All People (even if they are not eligible to chant “Om”,) who chant the six letter mantra would get the capacity to meditate on Pranava. Those who chant silently the mantra of Rama would get the same effect as repeating the letter “Om”. Such is the power of Rama. Jai Shri Rama. Below is a improved version (sound and picture quality, thanks to of talk done on Why specifically was the magical number of 14 years of exile for Sri Rama? Could it have been more or less? We explore through this talk below.

Happy Second day of Navratri - Night belongs to Brahmacharini - Goddess of Sacred Study. She activates Swadhisthana (Sacral Chakra). She is linked to the sacral chakra, symbolizing purity, devotion, and transformation. Weak Moon equates to unsteady mind, and if you want focus and want to be able to sustain a beautiful healthy body, she is the Goddess. Powerful if the mantra is done in the night between 9 pm onwards. ह्रीं श्री अम्बिकायै नमः Hrim Shri Ambikayai namah

YooHoo! March is a busy Month and 4 ingresses in a span of two months is unprecedented...Happy New Moon Amāvāsyā on 29th March 2025, Ingress of Saturn in Pisces Meena Zodiac sign and the start of Hindu New Year or Gudi Padwa – is a spring festival marking the start of the lunisolar new year for Marathi and Konkan region, on 30th March 2025.
It is also the start of the Navratri (9 Nights of Durga) and that starts on a Monday 31st March 2025, and this time Ma Durga/Shakti’s vehicle is the ‘Elephant’.
From the Vedic Wisdom of the Fixed Stars Nakṣatras for 29th March 2025.
Partial Solar Eclipse of 2025 Mar 29 is visible from the following geographic regions: northwest Africa, Europe, north Russia
The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on 2025 Mar 29 at 10:48:36 TD (10:47:24 UT1).
During the eclipse, the Sun is in the constellation Pisces, in the Fixed Star Nakshatra of Uttara Bhādrapadā
Uttara Bhādrapadā is Nakshatra is the second last Constellation of the Associated Stars: γ Pegasi (Algenib) and α Andromedae (Alpheratz) and the Ruling Deity is Shani (Saturn) in the Sign of Pisces. The Vedic Deity of this constellation is AhirBudhanya and people whose names begins with Du (दू), Tha (थ), Jha (झ), Jna (ञ), like 'Thangaraj' or 'Thatcher' or 'Dupont' or Dua, or 'Durvesh' 'Dulari' etc , will have marked impact. Especially if your Rising sign is Uttara Bhādrapadā or Janma Tara Moon's Nakshatra falls here.,
The eclipse belongs to Saros 149 and is number 21 of 71 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moon’s ascending node. The Moon moves southward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series
More on the Solar Eclipses and its Saros Series and its impact on you. https://circleofdivineastrology.com/solareclipses2025/
Meanwhile prepare for a new year of Vishvāvasu (2025-2026 AD). What does the new year mean? As perYavanaJataka, for Mundane (Nations and world at large) many Nations will face debts and go in for heavy borrowings some kind of contagious disease will also set in.
Yet before that grand Solar Partial Eclipse of 2025, setting the tone for the year.
Few Hours later after the Solar Eclipse, Saturn ingresses into Sidereal sign of Pisces in the sign of Pisces. This is E – P – I – C…
Revati is also the birth of Saturn and hence the moon becomes a vital link to add the Revati flavour to the effects of Saturn. Firstly, Saturn’s placement in sign of Jupiter is one of the best placements. As is Saturn in Sagittarius. But unlike Sagittarius, Pisces is much more joyous as its is in one of the very last Nakshatras that Saturn is born in.
Four to five key developments, are likely to be the flavour of the day
1. Radical shift in social media, Pisces is a deep sign, with two fishes swimming away but equally connected to the cycles. Pisces Meena is the last Rashi sign in the Zodiac, and the Aditya Solar God ruling it is Vishnu. It is one of the deepest and most intense signs as it is the birth of Chandra – Moon God, hence our mind. (9th house of father from Cancer Karka). Hence anything which lacks depth of knowledge and deeper insights will be ignored (the fish swimming away). Pisces is also ancient Scriptures, the Vedas, Vedanta. As its other ruler is ketu, which is only seeking spiritual awakening. Hence anything that does not align genuinely with the agenda of Ketu, it will slink away. And in Mid-May 2025 Ketu shifts into Leo, which is akin to exaltation of Ketu. So, Ketu calling the shots, here.
2. Anything related to liquids, Water, Sea based industries and investments will transform and excel. So, mineral and drinks companies and their quality will come into sharp focus. Purity of products and water in household will be questioned. In fact, there may be a period of mayhem, regards water. Water based disasters, floods, dams, flooding in cities, contaminated waters arising out of that, water borne viruses/diseases won’t be ruled out.
Why water? Pisces represents water body, namely the Sea, where Goddess Maha Lakshmi’s birth and residence is. Hence Water based industries/diseases etc will come into sharp focus. Signs most effected will be Leo, Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius.
Gemini wil be Okay results overall, as Jupiter will transit over this period in Gemini (Self) and Cancer (2nd house).
Quite good results will be felt by Ta**us, Capricorn and Libra. The Signs of Venus will feel overconfident so they have to be aware of not taking short cuts!
Of course, the dasha will take precedence over a transit.. So do work with the Dasa Planetary Period before jumping to conclusions.
This is some of the general effects, if want to know more join the telegram groups ( https://t.me/Sonvaa
/ https://t.me/+Rsjk7Htalp459tJf)
For personal Gochara transit effects, have a ponder on this video – Some techniques using the Nakshatra of Shani and your Moon Janma Tara.

At the beginning of the year i did a little instagram reel on the flavour of 2025 on the Numerology of 2025 and mentioned the number 9 and the Mars year and Mars is the Bhumi putra - Earthquakes natural disasters etc will be the flavour for the year, sadly. with Rod Chang please link to https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEFQgBOstUv/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

12/03/2025

Happy Holi to all – The one and only ‘Festival of Colours’ and a important celebration after Diwali. There is also Full Moon - Pūrṇimā in 10th constellation in Sidereal Virgo, in Uttaraphālguṇī (उत्तरफाल्गुणी) refers to the twelfth of twenty-seven constellations, occurring in the lunar month of Phalguna, in the Hindu Almanac (Calendar). From the Vedic Wisdom of the Fixed Stars Nakṣatras for week of 13th March 2025 from in-house Vedic Consultant and Reader of Tarot at Watkins Books Sonal Vedic Astro Essences
This spring water colour festival celebrated at the approach of the spring season, during three or four-days preceding the full-moon day in the month of Phalguna. Holika dahan or the Homa - burnt offerings and oblations to gods by throwing ghee into the consecrated fire along with other sacred grains which are of the form of the planets (each grain for each planet)
Significations of the offerings into the fire (Holika ) is associated with several stories. One of the popular ones is the Holikā (होलिका) was a demoness who was killed on the day of Holi. She was the sister of King Hiraṇyakaśipu. The story of Holikā also knowns as Simhika, is an asuri demon goddess. She is the sister of the very powerful demigod kinds, Hiraṇyakaśipu and Hiranyaksha, and the paternal aunt of Prahlada. Hiraṇyakaśipu won over the kingdom on entire earth. His megalomania knew no bounds and he commanded everybody in his kingdom to worship only him.
His great disappointment, his son, Prahlad, became an ardent devotee of Lord Narayana, and was always had him on his mind and so it was obvious to everyone that he was protected by Viṣṇu himself!
After several failed attempts at destrying the bhakti devotion of his son for lord Viṣṇu, he asked his sister, Holikā to enter a blazing fire with Prahlad in her lap. For, Hiraṇyakaśipu knew that Holikā had a boon, whereby, she could enter the fire without getting burnt.
Holikā coaxed young Prahlad to sit in her lap she entered the blazing fire. Holikā was not aware that the boon worked only when she entered the fire alone!
Holikā was burned to her death while Prahlad was saved by Viṣṇu. Hence the burning of grains etc takes away the evil and heralds a cleaner spring, freeing the environment of negative energies and bacterial/viruses.
The fire is significant as it cleanses away the negativity in the environment as the fire and smoke emitted by the burning of woods and herbs and grains actually act as a atmospheric cleanser. So do have a little fire and try burning some herbs and leaves. One of the most effective remedies is burning of Sesame, Ghee mixed with Camphor powder.
This Also marks the Lunar Eclipse in Uttaraphālguṇī (उत्तरफाल्गुणी) in Sidereal Leo. Vedic Deity of Uttaraphālguṇī is Aryama, is the 3rd son of Aditi, the mother of the Gods.
Aryama has close association with the ancestors, predecessors or the Manes. Lord Krishna tells Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita on Vibhuti Yoga. (Chapter 10, Verse 29)
अनन्तश्चास्मि नागानां वरुणो यादसामहम् |
पितृणामर्यमा चास्मि यम: संयमतामहम् || 29||
anantaśh chāsmi nāgānāṁ varuṇo yādasām aham
pitṝīṇām aryamā chāsmi yamaḥ sanyamatām aham
As per the commentary of Jnaneshwari by Jnaneshwar, he states - Amongst the weapons, I am, Oh Dhanurdhara, the thunderbolt, that is flourished in the hands of Indra, the performer of a hundred sacrifices; Kamadhenu (the wish fulfilling cow) amongst cows. I am the God of Love amongst those that procreate. I am Vasuki the chief of the serpent race; I am Ananta (Shesha) amongst the Nagas (dragons-serpents-semi-gods having bodies of serpents and faces of men). I am Varuna the master beloved of the Maiden—“West-sky”—amongst the maids,” said Ananta. “I am Aryama, the Chief Pitara amongst Manes (Pitaras—ancestors or departed progenitors of human families). And I am that Yama (the chief of the arbiters of men who set down all good and evil actions of souls, keep vigil over the searching of the hearts of all beings and requite them for their actions by strict rules). I am then the (Yama) Dharma, the great judge of all actions,” said Rama, the husband of Rama (ramāpatī).
Thus Aryama has connotations of Ārya meaning the noble, supreme, devoted , Kind one. Hence Āryama is the chief amongst the pitaras – our ancestors. This is 1st pada of Uttaraphalguni, so the dharma is very strong in this pada. As it is also in 9th harmonic in Sagittarius. Strong fighting gallant and feisty nature attributable to this pada 1. The dual signs Virgo and Pisces along with Aries and Leo will be the signs most impacted. By this Lunar eclipse, which is not a easy one. One of the best mantras are Shakti mantras for this Lunar Eclipse to take the impurity and angst out of this Lunar
Om killi killi katakeshta sarvartha sadhanaya svaha or
"Oṁ namo bhagavate narasiṁhāya" translates to "Om, I bow to the Lord Narasimha'
