Did you know that regular movement isn’t just good for your body — it’s great for your skin too? At Linia Skin Clinic’s Wellness Department, we focus on holistic approaches that combine internal health, lifestyle, and aesthetics.

Why movement matters for your skin:

Boosts circulation: Better blood flow delivers nutrients and oxygen to your skin, giving it a healthy, natural glow.

Supports lymphatic drainage: Helps reduce puffiness and detoxifies your skin from within.

Reduces stress: Exercise lowers cortisol levels, which can help prevent breakouts and inflammation.

Enhances overall wellness: A balanced body supports healthy aging and skin resilience.

From gentle stretching and yoga to more intensive workouts, moving your body is a key part of a complete skincare and wellness routine.

Take care of your body, and your skin will thank you.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment designed to rejuvenate your skin from within. Using tiny, precise needles, it stimulates your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, helping to improve texture, firmness, and overall radiance.

Benefits of Microneedling:

Smooths fine lines and wrinkles

Reduces acne scars and enlarged pores

Improves skin texture and tone

Enhances absorption of skincare products for better results

At Linia Skin Clinic, we combine microneedling with advanced serums or radiofrequency (RF Microneedling) for enhanced results, tailored to your skin’s needs.

A series of treatments can help restore a youthful, refreshed glow — naturally and subtly.

Melasma: understanding and treating stubborn pigmentation

Melasma is one of the most common skin concerns we see at Linia Skin Clinic. It appears as brown or grey-brown patches, often on the cheeks, forehead, or upper lip — and it can be triggered by sun exposure, hormones, or even genetics.

What makes melasma tricky is that it sits deep in the skin and can return if not managed properly. But with the right approach, you can significantly improve its appearance and prevent it from worsening.

At Linia Skin Clinic, we combine advanced treatments to give the best results:

Laser Treatments (e.g., LaseMD Ultra) – Helps break down excess pigment and brighten skin tone with minimal downtime.

Chemical Peels – Gently exfoliate and renew the skin, targeting superficial pigmentation.

Prescription Skincare – Medical-grade creams to control pigment production and protect the skin barrier.

Sun Protection – Daily SPF is essential to prevent melasma from coming back or spreading.

The key with melasma is a personalised plan and consistency. Every patient’s skin is different, so we tailor treatments to your unique needs for the safest, most effective results.

Ready to tackle melasma and restore an even, glowing complexion? Book a consultation at our Harley Street clinic today.

The truth behind ‘Sugar‑Free’ labels.
“Sugar‑free”, “no added sugar”, “zero sugar” — sounds healthy, right?
Not always. Many of these products replace sugar with artificial sweeteners or hidden additives that can still impact your health and digestion.

Here’s what you need to know:
- ‘Sugar‑free’ ≠ Healthy – In the UK, it means less than 0.5g sugar per 100g/ml, but it may still be ultra‑processed or nutrient‑poor.
- Not all sugar is bad – Naturally occurring sugars (in fruit, dairy) come with fibre, vitamins & minerals. The issue? Excess ‘free sugars’ like syrups, glucose, and high‑fructose corn syrup.
- Sweeteners have side effects – Stevia, erythritol, sucralose & aspartame can be safe in moderation, but some (like sorbitol/xylitol) may cause bloating, gas, or digestive upset.
- Watch for hidden sugars – Agave, rice syrup, glucose syrup… they all count as added sugar.

Better snack swaps:
🍏 Apple slices + peanut butter
🥣 Greek yogurt + berries
🥕 Oatcakes + hummus

Smart shopping tip: Always check the ingredients list — not just the front label. Look for whole, recognisable foods and avoid long lists of additives.

Hair thinning and shedding can feel frustrating, but it’s usually a sign your scalp and hair follicles need some extra care.

At our clinic, we use KeraFactor MD combined with KeraLase laser — a gentle, non-surgical treatment that actually helps your scalp heal and encourages new, stronger hair growth.

Here’s how it works:
The laser creates tiny, painless channels in your scalp that help the KeraFactor serum get deep down to the hair roots, waking up tired follicles and improving scalp health.

The best part? It’s comfortable, no downtime, and works for both men and women dealing with thinning or weak hair.

If you’re noticing your hair isn’t what it used to be, don’t wait until it’s worse. Book a consultation with us, and let’s find the right plan for you. Because healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp — and we’re here to help.
