Potential

This image came from a moment of reflection while starting a new course that’s already shifting how I see things.

Here, potential is represented as the embryo — nestled within the amniotic sac — suspended, protected, but not isolated.

The soft, flexible tether represents the early external influences that can shape what’s unfolding, even before conscious awareness begins.

Creating this helped me visualise a feeling I couldn’t quite put into words — that potential isn't sealed off. It’s in relationship with its environment from the very beginning.

Image 2 – a web of lines mapping how neural development responds to sensory interaction — a more complex and beautiful tangle of influence.

Starting this course has opened up a new way of seeing these ideas, and I’m excited to keep exploring them visually, viscerally, and professionally.
