Health decisions should always be guided by evidence.

From diagnosis to treatment, science plays a role in protecting not just individuals, but families and communities every day.
Turning to trusted, evidence-based care helps to:
✔️ Protect your health
✔️ Prevent disease
✔️ Support effective treatment and recovery
At Clinica, this sits at the core of everything we do - combining clinical expertise with advanced diagnostics to ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time.
Because better decisions start with better evidence.

Rosacea doesn’t always look the way you expect.
For some, it’s visible redness across the cheeks.
For others, it’s irritation that shows up in the eyes first - dryness, burning, or that constant gritty feeling.
It can come and go. It can change over time.
And it’s often misunderstood or mistaken for something else.
What matters is this:
- Rosacea isn’t just a skin condition
- It can affect the eyes, comfort, and confidence
At Clinica, we look beyond surface symptoms - combining dermatology and ophthalmology to understand the full picture.
Because real care starts when treatment is tailored to you, not just the condition.
If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth getting it properly assessed. Book an appointment today: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0t6xMr0

You’ve tried the drops.
You’re blinking more.
You’re doing everything right…
So why are your eyes still dry?
In many cases, it’s not just “dry eye” - it’s a problem with the oil glands in your eyelids (MGD), which means your tears evaporate too quickly.
That’s why drops alone don’t always solve it.
The good news? Once you understand the cause, there are effective treatments available.
If your symptoms keep coming back, it might be time to look a little deeper.
We’re proud to share that Professor Anthony Khawaja has been named in The Ophthalmologist Power List 2026.
Recognised among the most influential figures in global ophthalmology, his work is helping to transform how glaucoma is understood, detected, and managed.
From leading genetic discoveries to developing polygenic risk tools that enable more personalised care, his research is shaping the future of patient outcomes.
At Clinica London, we are proud to work alongside clinicians at the forefront of innovation in eye care.
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is often thought of as purely cosmetic, but in many cases, it’s also about improving comfort, function, and confidence.
From subtle aesthetic changes to addressing vision affected by excess skin, outcomes depend on careful assessment and surgical planning.
At Clinica London, every patient undergoes a detailed consultation to ensure:
• Appropriate treatment decisions
• Natural, balanced results
• A clear understanding of what surgery can achieve
Eyelid surgery should never look obvious - the goal is a refreshed, natural appearance that still feels like you.
Persistent watering can be disruptive and frustrating.
In many cases, watery eyes are actually linked to dry eye disease. When the eyes are irritated or inflamed, they can overproduce tears as a reflex response, leading to streaming - particularly in the cold, wind, or during everyday activities.
Other possible causes include:
• Blocked tear ducts
• Sensitive or reactive eyes
• Eyelid laxity
• A combination of dry eye and drainage issues
Because there are often multiple contributing factors, identifying the underlying cause is key.
At Clinica London, specialist assessment allows us to determine whether symptoms are due to dry eye, lacrimal obstruction, or a combination of both, and guide appropriate treatment.
Management may range from dry eye therapies to lacrimal procedures, including endoscopic DCR where indicated.
Don’t ignore persistent watering - book a consultation to understand the cause and explore treatment options. https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0sLWCy0

Concerned about a mole or skin lesion?
Moles, skin tags, cysts and other skin lesions are common - but changes in appearance or discomfort should not be ignored.
At Clinica London, we offer consultant-led minor skin surgery in a safe, clinical environment.
Services include:
• Mole removal
• Skin tag removal
• Cyst and lump excision
• Minor skin procedures
Our approach prioritises precision, safety and optimal cosmetic outcomes.
Dry, irritated eyes often worsen in spring as allergens trigger inflammation around the ocular surface.
OptiLight by Lumenis is an advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment and the first FDA-approved device for managing dry eye disease caused by meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).
Rather than simply managing symptoms, OptiLight targets the underlying inflammation contributing to dry eye.
• Quick in-clinic sessions
• No recovery time
• Convenient central London location
Many patients schedule treatment during a lunch break and return straight to their day.
OptiLight at Clinica London is performed by Consultant Oculoplastic Ophthalmologists Miss Jane Olver and Miss Lisa Jagan, alongside our specialist ophthalmic team.
