With Covid-19 and many workforces working from home, we have the perfect solution to enhance staff well-being with our online services. We can provide bespoke well-being sessions designed to meet your needs, or you can enrol your employees to our online package. This incl

udes unlimited access to all live-streamed Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Fitness classes and unlimited access to a library of pre-recorded classes to enjoy any anytime. These include Yoga and Pilates for Pregnancy and a gentle chair Pilates class for those less mobile. All classes are taught in a home setting, by qualified, experienced, and friendly teachers who engage with participants putting everyone at ease. Our classes are, inclusive, engaging and most importantly up-lifting fun. The benefits from exercise are well documented and researched. Regular exercise with a qualified, and experienced instructor for as little as 10 minutes a day will improve wellbeing and productivity. ​The research and facts:
Stress and low back pain cause absence from work and cost companies many thousands of pounds. 131 million days were lost due to sickness absences in the UK in 2013. Minor illnesses were the most common reason given for sickness absence, but more days were lost to back, neck and muscle pain than any other cause. (Ref: Office for national statistics - Sickness Absence in the Labour Market, February 2014). Stress can hit anyone at any level and research shows that work related stress is widespread and is not confined to sectors, jobs, or industries. (The Health and Safety Executive)

Where the job unavoidably contains spells of intensive display screen work (whether using the keyboard or input device, reading the screen, or a mixture of the two), these should be broken up by periods of non-intensive, non-display screen work. Breaks must allow users to vary their posture. Exercise routines which include moving and stretching should be encouraged. (The Health and Safety Executive)

Register your employees with Absolute Yoga and Pilates online:
Absolute Yoga and Pilates online gives your workforce unlimited access to our online package, this includes all live-streamed classes and a library of videos to enjoy anytime. Also, in our library there's; Fitness classes, Barre Fitness, Yoga and Pilates for Pregnancy and a gentle chair Pilates class for those less mobile. This package could be available to your workforce at a price you can afford. Here are our guide prices, please get in touch to discuss your needs and a package that would work best for you and your employees. Price guide for online package – booked in 4-5 week blocks or annually
1-3 employees £10 per week pp (£40 - £120 per month)
4-10 employees £7.50 per week pp (£120 - £300 per month)
11-15 £7 per week pp (£308 - £420 per month)

Posture exercises and movement to incorporate during the working day. Stress management, introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Back care, exercises to strengthen your core to support your back. Introduction to Yoga
Introduction to Pilates

Pilates for Posture and Back Care
This is a session with gentle mobility, stretching and core strength to ease and support the back. Yoga and Meditation Stress Buster
Sometimes you need to breathe, be quiet and relax. This is a guided relaxation session to help de-stress and relax. Life coaching, psychotherapy and counselling
One to one sessions can be provided for individuals or groups including life coaching and team building sessions. These will be designed to meet your needs. (For physical sessions at your place of work, yoga mats and a larger space will be required. Participants will need to wear exercise or comfortable clothing. No shoes are required.) Prices for face-to-face sessions delivered at your place of work
An experienced teacher will come to you and deliver face to face sessions in the workplace for groups of up to 16 people. Travel expenses will need to be added to the price list below.

30 minutes for up to 12 people - £70 (minimum booking is 2 consecutive sessions in one visit)
60 minutes for up to 12 people - £120
half day (3 hours) - £300 (working with groups of 12 people)

Some my friends may have noticed my page Absolute Yoga and Pilates Poros Greece has been missing/deactivated while I worked on a technicality regarding our retreats in Greece. I am now delighted to announce we have the green light to continue building our beautiful community of classes on the stunning island of Poros. I can't wait to return in September to soak up the sun, breathe, relax, stretch and laugh with our wonderful yoga and Pilates students. I'm feeling blessed and relieved with the outcome.

Celebrate international women's day with Absolute Yoga and Pilates, lead and driven totally by women.

We started 10 years ago when Pauline (business owner and company director) was made redundant for the 2nd time from a corporate job in London. Taking a year out to re-train and gain Level 3 qualifications in Pilates and complete a 500 hour yoga diploma, the business was launched in 2014. It has since then grown to include other amazing women, Wendy Allen forma client and now teaching Pilates for the business, and Adriana and Charlotte Ward, daughters of Pauline. Their qualifications include yoga, Pilates, sound healing and massage therapy. The business has continued to grow and thrive against the odds, surviving the difficult pandemic years. We now spend each and every day feeling empowered and blessed to do a job we love in the heart of our community.

It's December!!! How did that happen? I can't believe we are almost at the end of another year. The exciting news is, in 2024 Absolute Yoga and Pilates will celebrate it's 10th anniversary and what an amazing 10 years we have had. I started the business solo, teaching up to 22 classes per week. Adriana was 16 and about to start college and Charlotte was just 14 when the business began. Look at them now, amazing, talented and experienced yoga and Pilates teachers. I have had the absolute pleasure to teach every class on the timetable last week! Adriana was away on a yin yoga teachers training course, Wendy was enjoying a hiking holiday (and completed the 3 peaks) and Charlotte has left to work in the French Alps as a chalet manager for the ski season. That left just me! I have loved teaching, seeing everyone face to face, and have been blown away with your enthusiasm and fabulous technique. You have amazing teachers and I can see you have been taught well, I couldn't be prouder. Keep up the good work, your body will thank you.

This Friday is the last Quartz Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Healing Evening for 2023. If you would like to join us, please get in touch. You do not need any yoga experience, complete beginners will love this class and evening.

I'm not sure if it's the digital world we live in or the universe is trying to send a message! I keep seeing 1111, so much so, I have researched the meaning. This is what I found:

"Your only job is to trust yourself and the universe, celebrate the beauty of being alive and protected, and keep going!"

"Simply the message of 1111 is to be the best human you can possibly be. Remember you can make a positive difference in the lives of many or change the world for just one person."

"Seeing 11 11 is the trigger to set you on your path to make your mark in this existence. The world is grateful to have you."

Considering these meanings, it seems fortuitous that our next Super Saturday wellness day is on the 11th of November. We would love you to join us for this special day.

I have to tell you about my Charlottes class experience!
Oh my goodness it was a total dream
I love the can can legs/move it's one of my faves and rolling like a ball.
Swan dive - fills me with dread!!!
Well I don’t know how she did it
But it was step by step (Is the best way to describe it)
I actually did it and had a little bit of momentum!!!
And enjoyed it.

We packed everything we could into one amazing week. Yoga, Pilates, trekking, cycling, boat trips, fabulous food, a cocktail (or 2) and bundles of laughter.

All our guests this year were solo travellers who didn't know each other before meeting in Poros. Within the first few minutes, friendships formed and the joy and laughter began.

I can't believe how quickly this year is passing, is it me or is it the same for you? We try to fit as much as we can into every day, week and month leaving little time to simply be. This is why your yoga or Pilates practice is so important. It's not just the exercise that's good for you, it's allowing yourself time to breathe.
We have 2 wonderful events this month, on Friday the 7th July you are invited to join our sound healing evening, giving you 2 hours of restorative yoga and time to enjoy every moment. And on Saturday the 15th July, we have one of our amazing Super Saturday wellness days. This day includes Pilates, Barre and 2 blissful hours of yoga, including sound healing and a relaxing facial massage. Another opportunity to enjoy every precious moment.

The Power Break This is a short boost to rejuvenate and invigorate attendees for the rest of the day. This session includes: Mobility exercises Posture work Gentle stretching and breathing The Back Care Programme This is a session with gentle mobility, stretching and core strength work to ease and support the back. The Stress Buster Sometimes just a little down time, and time to be quiet and relax is required. This session with relaxing music and relaxation techniques allows you time to de-stress.
