Jeremy reflects on a personal gastronomic journey that also shaped London's social scene; for restaurants like Le Caprice and The Wolseley came to define entire eras. Drawing on some entertaining and salacious anecdotes from his recent memoir Without Reservation, he muses upon the challenges of an ever-evolving hospitality industry (ozempic, early dining, new teetotal generations) and shares his decades-long perspective on leadership, resilience, and lessons learnt in a fast-paced industry.

Living well, for longer with Gideon Remfry and Dr Sarah McIntyre.

Earlier this month, we welcomed Gideon Remfry, Director of Wellness at Auriens, and Dr Sarah McIntyre, Existential Psychotherapist, for a panel exploring the science and psychology of ageing well.

Recognised among London’s leading personal trainers and named in the top 25 worldwide, Gideon leads Auriens’ integrated wellness programme, combining exercise science, nutrition, and functional medicine to support strength, resilience, independence, and cognitive health. Dr McIntyre, a Cambridge-trained researcher and practising psychotherapist, brings expertise in mindset, behaviour, and the psychological patterns that shape how we age.

Together, they explored the concept of health span - living in good health for longer - focusing not only on longevity but also on maintaining strength, mobility, confidence, and mental well-being.

These regularly hosted events at Auriens are designed to equip residents with insight, confidence, and practical tools to support their well-being. It is our strong sense of community - the “social glue” - that helps turn these insights into lasting habits, as residents support one another in adopting and sustaining positive lifestyle changes.
