As a Spinal Flow practitioner, I’ve learned that the spine is more than bones and posture—it’s a messenger. A storyteller. A river of wisdom flowing through your body.

When that flow is blocked—by stress, trauma, or tension—your body begins to whisper. Then shout.

🌀 What causes spinal blockages?

In Spinal Flow, we work with seven gateways along the spine. Each one connects to organs, emotions, and energetic patterns. Blockages might come from:

Physical stress (injury, poor posture)

Emotional trauma (grief, fear, shame)

In the world of healing and wellness, we often focus only on the physical.

We treat muscle strains, joint pain, and structural imbalances. But what if your lower back pain isn’t just a physical issue?

What if it’s a silent ache holding deeply stored emotional or physical trauma?

At Healing with Anna, my philosophy is simple: your body is a brilliant storyteller. It carries the history of your life—the falls, the stresses, the emotional burdens.

The lower back, in particular, is a powerful and vulnerable area. It is the center of our stability, our support system, and our connection to the earth. When we experience trauma or chronic stress, the body has a natural way of protecting us: it tightens, it locks down, and it creates what we call blockages.

🌿 Why the Lower Back? The Body’s Emotional Storehouse

In many Eastern philosophies and somatic practices, the lower back and hips are seen as a storage area for unprocessed emotions.
Think about the phrases we use:

“The weight of the world on my shoulders.”
“He’s got a lot of backbone.”
“That situation made me feel powerless.”

These everyday expressions point to a deeper truth: when we feel unsupported, powerless, or overwhelmed, the body manifests it as tension and pain. The lower back, housing major nerve bundles and connecting the upper and lower body, becomes a natural place for this stored energy to accumulate.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing – full of vibrant energy, open hearts, and beautiful souls! 💖

Lina and I were blown away by the number of wonderful people who stopped by to experience Spinal Flow with us. Your curiosity, openness, and willingness to try something new truly made the weekend so special.

We were non-stop for two days and loved every moment of it. Tired? Yes. Fulfilled? Absolutely!
