When feeling anxious, low, or insecure, refocus your attention on what you like about yourself, things you’re grateful for.
This builds confidence, drives motivation, and well-being.

Give it a go: for 1 week, daily, note down 1 thing you appreciate about yourself. At the end of the week, reflect on these.

Anxiety is one of the most common issues clients come to me with. Anxiety, though a useful survival skill (keeps us safe by anticipating potential danger), can be misused and when in a prolonged state may have negative effects on our wellbeing, both physically and psychologically.

An instinct that used to protect us from potentially life-threatening harm e.g. being attacked by wild animals, is mistakenly applied to non-threatening situations. For example, feeling anxious about public speaking, conflict with a friend, seeing a spider!

When we unpick our thoughts, rationalise, and consider the actual likely harm, we can let go of anxiety when we need to.

Is the grass always greener on the otherside? 🍃

Comparing ourselves to others is normal. It can inspire a healthy dose of competition, motivating us to do better 🌱

But spending too much time focusing on what others have is counterproductive and the makings of discontentment 🍂

Understanding what you want and why, are the first steps to making your own grass greener 🌿

Sound good but unsure how to apply this to yourself practically? Get in touch for a complimentary video-call coaching consultation. Whether you’re in the UK, Thailand, HK, wherever, I got you 🍀
