This is a brilliant way to use EFT.
First choose something that you'd like to tap on (anything that's bothering you from a physical pain, an emotional irritation or something that causes you distress = but book with a practitioner if it's big)
Then decide what your emotion is when you focus on the issue. Where does it fit on this scale
1. Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Freedom/Love/Appreciation
2. Passion
3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
4. Positive Expectation/Belief
5. Optimism
6. Hopefulness
7. Contentment
8. Boredom
9. Pessimism
10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
11. “Overwhelment”
12. Disappointment
13. Doubt
14. Worry
15. Blame
16. Discouragement
17. Anger
18. Revenge
19. Hatred/Rage
20. Jealousy
21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

So - when I think about this issue I feel despair that it'll ever change would be 22, if it's rage 19 or irritation 10. Then start tapping using that feeling "Even though I feel despair when I think about x ...". Keep tapping until the intensity reduces and see where you are now on the scale.
