WEEK 36 - With summer behind us (almost), many of us start thinking about our goals and the run in to Christmas.

In the UK we don't tend to think in terms of week numbers but writing week 36 reminds us that we are well over half way through the year.

Financial, relationship, fitness and health goals creep into our consciousness.

Our spine rehab specialist Thanos penned a few words on this recently with respect to exercise. Namely that it is often made too complicated, we're not all elite athletes and so its really about keeping things simple. See link to blog article.

The same applies to most goals. Keeping them simple, specific and being consistent in our actions is the name of the game.

Our focus is of course helping people with their health goals.

For patients, often the most important thing they want is to be pain free. We were discussing this the other day, for clinicians, pain is of course important but a key goal for us is to restore function.

If we get things moving and help patients to move better, more freely and without restriction, then the pain usually takes care of itself.

So we want to keep people in tip top shape because we only get one body and spare parts aren't quite so straight forward as new parts for a car for example! Plus when we move better we feel better and when we feel better, we live better.
