Trek4Ceylon

Trek4Ceylon Trek4Ceylon (T4C) cycle across Sri Lanka as a symbol of healing, restoration and hope for this island nation.

Trek4Ceylon Ltd is a charity registered in the United Kingdom, which raises funds through cycling, marathons, trekking, walking and other activities to provide support to the medical infrastructure and underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka and other countries across the world. We ride together across Sri Lanka as a visible symbol of our hope and desire to bring physical, emotional and mental he

aling, as well as unity and peace, to a land scarred by war and division. Trek4Ceylon is run by a group of volunteers who are keen to help the less fortunate, and strive to operate the charity with integrity and transparency. The bike ride is organised and run by a dedicated T4C team. We work together with other Trek for Ceylon charities based in Canada, Australia, USA and Sri Lanka. Please contact us if you require a charitable donation receipt.

*Puttur Project - Important Milestone Update*

It has been exactly one month since our ride, and we had the special privilege of being back in Puttur for a very important milestone in the hospital project.

On Saturday evening, the tender process for the restoration project was officially opened in the presence of the architect and his team of engineers, the contractors who received the tender, and representatives of the Methodist Church. The process was carried out openly and transparently, marking a significant step forward for the project.

It included an extensive site visit and detailed tender documentation was prepared and shared with all contractors. This moment is particularly meaningful for us because it follows a long period of statutory approvals and unavoidable delays. Seeing the process finally move forward gives us renewed energy and confidence.

The tender process will run for approximately one month, after which the selected contractor will be awarded the project. Once completed, we will begin Phase 1 of construction, which includes the Outpatient Department (OPD) and the Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU).

This is a huge step forward for the Puttur Hospital project, and we are excited to share a few photos from Saturday as we move closer to turning this vision into reality.
