Thanks for this wonderful collaboration with Soham Yoga London and opportunity to guide a different audience at the Health & Wellbeing Event organized at the The Pinn Medical Centre to promote good mental health, flexibility, bone strength, social interactions through daily Chair yoga sessions organized by Soham Yoga London.
Gentle stretches, guided breathing and short meditation helped create a peaceful atmosphere, and many attendees shared how refreshed and centred they felt afterwards.
Chair yoga is a wonderful reminder that yoga can be adapted for every body and every stage of life.

It was full moon a couple of nights ago as I guided my last online session for 2025 before my travels to India.
Guiding these Moon Meditations past 5+ years has been one of the best highlights of my month. Lately, even my husband and atleast 3-4 Yoga teachers join me and that gives me immense joy. As Yoga teachers, we give our energy to the students so receiving that energy through such practices is a blessing.

- - Last night’s full moon was incredible. I ended up sitting outside on the decking, for a late virtual guided meditation. The light of the Full moon softly pouring through the pagoda over my being, felt calm and expansive all at once. 😌 Nirmala guided us virtually, but it somehow felt like we were all sitting together under that same luminous sky, with meditation being gentle and grounding… such a peaceful way to end the day. 🌕✨

Thanks to collaborating with Soham Yoga London, I have been covering these Tuesday morning Chair Yoga sessions for the past one month.
I had fun this week working on core strength, balance and legs strength. My mom is also a participant so it feels nice to keep her healthy along with serving the community at large in North Harrow.

I held the Moon Meditation last night after a long break. It felt very relaxing as I started these meditations during the pandemic for myself. I thought why not serve the community as a whole who would benefit....
I am glad I resumed again. I am sharing the feedback of last night's Moon Meditation as this morning the regulars messaged me.
I highly encourage especially Yoga Teachers who are on my friends list to join me regularly on a monthly basis. We give a lot of our energy while we teach so it is important to get back that energy through these practices from the comfort of our homes.
The next Moon Meditation will be held on June 10, 2025 Tuesday evening at 9PM. Please share with friends or family who you think might benefit if you cannot join.

I started my Yoga Journey a little over a decade ago and after 4 years of practicing as a student, I wanted to deepen my understanding of Yoga as a therapeutic way of life, egged on by the lower back pain that a few family members (across age groups) were dealing with!
In August 2014 I completed my International Yoga Teachers Training Certificate under my Yoga Guru, Pundit Radheshyam Mishra from Yoga Life Global India. In parallel I also got introduced to scriptural study, pursuing the study of the Bhagavad Gita under a qualified Guru (teacher).
My teaching journey commenced in 2014 at the Yoga Bharati, San Jose CA. I pursued this journey once I moved to London, taking weekly classes and teaching at organized workshops;I also helped several yoga teachers in a teacher training course that finished in Oct. 2020 assisting my senior teacher who has been my mentor since my move.
My teaching style focuses not just on body awareness, strength & flexibility, but also on coordination of breath with stretching of the physical body. I use a lot of chanting, sounds and Pranayama which induces energy & quietude. I also complement my practice with techniques for relaxation of the body & mind prescribed by the Yoga Institute,Mumbai, India. My students have often told me I have a calming voice, cheerful disposition and I make yoga accessible to everyone. I adapt my classes to suit the age group that I am teaching and I am comfortable with students aged 5 to 80 years old.
My holistic yoga journey has been fulfilling, healing so many people from all walks of life and in all corners of the globe (Singapore/Australia/Mauritius/India/UK/USA). In an effort to make this path accessible to as many people, and more so in the times of this pandemic I have taken my journey online:
Presently teaching online with hip openers & core strength with my understanding from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras on the values:
Monday morning class with emphasis on Asanas along with Mantras and Pranayama.
Monday evening class with emphasis on Deep Rest & Relaxation (Yoga Nidra).
Wednesday evening class with emphasis on Restorative Asanas, Mantras and Pranayama.
Friday evening class - monthly Moon Meditations.
My classes helps not only physically but also mental chanting of mantras aids in concentration as well as tranquility. When the mind is at peace, the body is relaxed and therefore, healthy. I also explain the meanings of the mantras that I chant along with the benefits associated with each asana practice.
