The mental load of trying to conceive is something nobody really warns you about.

The tracking, the testing, the googling at midnight, the appointments, the hope, the waiting. It’s exhausting and sometimes it’s hard to know what actually matters and what’s just noise.

That’s where I come in. Not to add to the list, but to help you cut through it. Together, we figure out what your body actually needs right now - and everything else? We let that go. 💛

If you’re struggling to switch the fertility brain off at night and feel overwhelmed by all the information out there, then check out my latest blog post which includes some simple helpful tips to improve your sleep and cut out the fertility noise. https://www.saminahaider.com/acupuncture-blog/sleepingtoconcieve

Good fertility care is rarely one person working alone. 💛
In my experience, the clients who get the best outcomes are the ones who have the right people around them — medical, allied therapies, holistic and emotional support all working together rather than in isolation.
Which is why being included in The Evewell’s Little Burgundy Book — a directory of trusted practitioners recommended to their patients — means a lot to me. I am in good company. 💖

Collaborative care for people who deserve the best support on their journey.

If you’re navigating fertility and want to know more about how acupuncture fits into that picture, drop me a DM. 💖

✨Real women, Real stories.✨

My patient had suffered multiple ectopic pregnancy losses, before reaching out to me. We worked together every week, for 3 months supporting her physical and emotional recovery, uncovering and addressing some key health issues, whilst preparing her to move forward with IVF at the end of this. Part of this journey, included introducing her to the wonderful team Fertility & IVF clinic in London.

I continued to support her during the IVF cycle, and the early stages of her successful pregnancy💖. I have also been lucky enough to meet the whole family now IRL! 🥰

Fertility journeys can be incredibly complex, emotional and deeply personal. Many patients choose to use acupuncture not as a quick fix, but as an integral part of their health and wellbeing -spending valuable time, optimising and supporting their emotional and physical health in preparation to either conceive naturally or to support assisted fertility treatment.

Supporting patients through these important chapters of their lives is always a privilege.

Thank you to my brave patient and The Evewell for sharing her story 🧡. Click link in bio to read the full story or head over to https://www.evewell.com/support/ectopic-pregnancy-secondary-infertility-and-ivf/

When it comes to complex fertility support - It really does take a village. If you’re new to acupuncture and keen to understand how it might support you, feel free to get in touch (link in bio)

People apologise for these things in clinic all the time… and honestly, none of them matter.

Hairy legs, comfy clothes, emotional releases, having a deep sleep or telling me the inner workings of your digestion, cervical mucous or period. I’m here for it all.

Bodies are human. Emotions happen. And there’s basically no such thing as too much information when we’re trying to understand what’s going on with your health.

Just come as you are.🙌

Because Periods are always communicating — but are we listening?

When a woman tells me about her period, she’s not just talking about bleeding.

She’s sharing clues.

Clues about how her hormones are communicating.
Clues about how her body is responding to stress.
Clues about inflammation.
Clues about ovulation.
Clues about energy and resilience.

🩸Heavy flow
🤢Nausea
🩸Clotting
🤧Period Flu
🩸Spotting
💊Painful periods
🤬Mood shifts
🩸Brown blood
🌬️Absent cycles

None of it is “too much information.”

In Chinese medicine, the menstrual cycle gives us a beautiful window into overall health. And modern research increasingly recognises it as a vital sign — because it reflects endocrine and metabolic function.

In clinic, there’s no such thing as oversharing. The more I understand about your cycle, the better I can understand you.

If your periods feel confusing, painful, heavy, irregular — or if you simply want to understand them better — that conversation is always welcome here - just drop me message or click link in bio to book a discovery call.

If you’ve ever tried to “fix” your hormones quickly… you’re not alone.

Pop that pain killer.
Take that miracle supplement that’s trending on Insta.
Or yet, being told the contraceptive pill will regulate your bleed, but 15 years later, you’ve come off the pill and guess what the pain is back and with vengeance! I mean- seriously!!

Don’t get me wrong - when you are living with chronic menstrual pain, especially if part of a wider health issue, you want to get any relief you can get - and quickly. I get it. I’ve been there - more of my adult life than I care to remember.

But the body doesn’t unlearn years of pain in a single step.

Lasting improvement doesn’t come from just overriding the symptoms. We are only masking the problem.

Real healing happens gradually.
It’s built through consistency, guidance and the right support. Over time, we are not just aiming for one better period, we are helping the body respond differently cycle after cycle, better digestion, better sleep, less inflammation, the list goes on.

Acupuncture isn’t about pushing the body harder. It’s about giving it the chance to catch up, settle and recalibrate, so that it can do its job with less struggle, at a pace that lasts.

The changes that stay are rarely the fastest ones. They are the ones we allow time for.
If you’re working on this right now, you’re exactly where you need to be. ❤️

It’s live! Talking about acupuncture and fertility is a complete passion of mine. It’s an obsession - one that has been developing over a decade now, since I qualified as an acupuncturist. But this time was different. This time I got to converse with my friend on a more personal level. We discuss more about my journey to becoming an acupuncturist, the impact of fertility challenges and IVF through a male and personal lens , the impact of stress, as well as exploring the complexities of fertility on South Asian communities, which is a topic that is rarely discussed openly. Too be honest we barely scratched the surface and we both agreed we could talk for hours on this subject. But none the less, I am very grateful to have been able to contribute to this episode and bring this very honest and open conversation to the table..

To listen and read more about my friends journey - as well as hearing more stories and important stories from South Asian voices follow

Get ready for the best Acu-nap of your life!

Prioritising your sleep is a key corner stone for supporting hormonal health and fertility. So it’s not surprising that when you start your fertility acupuncture journey, we spend a lot of time talking about your sleep and ways to support it. You become so relaxed in sessions, that you literally crave the opportunity to come in (PJ’s optional) and have a little 💤 on the table.

If you are tracking your cycles and BBT, it’s important to know that disrupted sleep can affect your readings, so looking at ways to optimise it will always be beneficial.

In my latest blog post (link in bio) I talk about BBT tracking in detail and what influences it. And whilst you’re there, check out my other blog post ‘Sleepless is SE4’ which has some helpful tips on improving sleep hygiene as well. Two for one as they say! 😆

I had a very exciting day at the learning about all the latest innovations and insights from the world of Fem Tech, women’s health, maternal care and fertility. From innovative fem tech gadgets helping improve patients experiences of getting a diagnosis or access to the right treatment, to how AI can help with advances of egg quality and its role in iVF, to taking a deep dive into the disparities and inequality that sadly exists in women’s health especially for black and Asian women , it was great to be part of some really exciting and important conversations.

I also got to hang out with my lovely friend and fellow acupuncturist for day,

As a fertility support trained acupuncturists we are trained not to just accept the status quo when it comes to supporting and getting the right care for our clients. We are trained to think out of the box, question a little more and dig a little bit deeper.
