In June 2024 I flew to Barcelona to attend my first Dr Joe Dispenza retreat.

I remember struggling through the airport with a tiny wheelie case, still very much in the middle of my recovery.

I was learning. Rewiring. Hoping.

His work around neuroplasticity and belief became one of the many foundations I integrated into my own recovery process.

This September I’ll be attending the Progressive Retreat in Switzerland 🇨🇭

Not because I’m still trying to fix something.

But because growth doesn’t stop when symptoms do.

I’m going back from a very different place.
Stronger. Clearer.

And ready to go deeper, and bring back what I can share.

Read those five signs slowly.

Which one felt uncomfortable?

That’s usually the doorway.

Dystonia recovery isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about working with the nervous system in a way that feels safe enough to shift.

If you’re ready for that level of work, you don’t need convincing.

You just need the right container.

The nervous system runs on patterns. Rhythm. Signals it has learned to repeat.

When those patterns become stressed or overloaded, the body can respond in ways that feel alarming… but not always permanent.

Understanding that was a turning point for me.

There’s a deeper layer to this work that most people never explore and it’s where real shifts begin.

A reminder from my own recovery journey 💛

There are many approaches helping people with dystonia right now, movement work, sensory retraining, neurological exercises, and I’m genuinely glad people are finding relief.

Movement was a part of my recovery too.

But it wasn’t the whole story.

What I learned (sometimes the hard way) is that you can retrain movement patterns all day long…
yet if your nervous system is still living in high alert, the body hasn’t actually learned safety your symptoms are going to persist .

For me, progress really shifted when I stopped asking:
“How do I make my neck move differently?”

And started asking:
“Why does my nervous system feel it needs to protect me?”

Until fear, stress, identity pressure, and emotional triggers were unpacked, movement helped, but it didn’t last.

This isn’t about one method being right or wrong.
It’s about recognising that dystonia isn’t just a movement problem.

It’s a communication problem.

And communication changes when the system feels safe.

Different paths help different people, but lasting change, in my experience, came when movement was paired with nervous system regulation, belief work, and addressing the root triggers underneath.

No selling. No fixing. Just sharing what actually made the difference for me.

My recovery started with one quiet certainty:
I wasn’t going to live like this forever.

Along the way, I met a lot of people who had tried everything.
But their belief was scattered, always looking here, then there, then there.

I did that at the beginning too.
Until I stopped chasing and returned to the basics… Belief, Safety, and a consistent method.

And if you’re reading this right now, there’s a good chance you’re already different.

People who’ve truly given up don’t pause on posts like this.
This is where change actually begins and is the foundation of everything I now teach.

After everything I tried, and everyone I met, one thing kept showing up.

The people who moved forward weren’t the ones doing the most.
They weren’t more disciplined or more positive.

They were the ones who already suspected, even quietly, that change was possible for them.

That belief didn’t come from optimism.
It came from understanding how the brain, body, and nervous system actually work together.

This was the missing piece in my own journey.
Once belief became embodied, not just understood, everything else started to land.

That’s what the 3B Mind Body Reset is built around.

Not convincing you.
Not trying harder.
But working with belief rather than waiting for certainty.
