At Nightingales, we believe that great care starts with great people — and we’re proud to prove it.

In an industry where staff turnover is common, we’re celebrating something rare: 20 of our amazing team members have each been with us for over 10 years. Some for more than 30! 💙

Last month, our founders Nick and Sarah Bruce honoured their dedication with a special lunch at Chapter One Restaurant, a small way to say a big thank you.

As a family-run care provider with homes in Bromley and Reigate and a respected home care agency across the South East, we know that staff loyalty leads to exceptional care. That’s why we’ve introduced shared ownership, because when our team feels valued and empowered, our clients feel the difference.

The past couple of weeks at Nettlestead have been full of exciting activities and special moments.

We’ve come together to honor the soldiers who fought for us, watching a live parade while being joined by our Chaplain, Sophie, for a reflective remembrance.

Ciara also visited, encouraging residents to stretch and get moving, which got everyone—including families and staff—up and stretching to some lively jazz music! 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

We’ve also had some fantastic performances and singers visiting. The talented Joe came in with his guitar - playing everyone’s favourites 🎸 We also had the wonderful David Woloski give an unforgettable performance for the residents as always🎤

Of course, Tinkerbell and Socks have been soaking up all the love, cuddles, (and treats) from the residents, bringing plenty of joy to everyone. 🐈‍⬛🐱

The residents have also been enjoying our festive hot chocolate with marshmallows ☕️ and this week we’re excited to start decorating and putting up the Christmas tree! 🎄

It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks filled with fun, connection, and holiday cheer!

This week at Nettlestead has been exceptionally busy!
We enjoyed a fantastic performance from Ticklepink Productions, and several family members also took the stage to sing and perform for all of us here at Nettlestead🎶We can’t forget Santini’s brilliant performance, which brought smiles to everyone’s faces as usual☺️

Over the past two weeks, we’ve engaged in various activities, including bingo, trivia quizzes, and slow yoga with Ciara, ensuring everyone stays active and flexible whilst moving alongside some amazing music🧘‍♀️
We’ve also welcomed many family members visiting their loved ones, which we love to see, often accompanied by some delightful wine and cheese🍷🧀

This week at Nettlestead has been quiet but full of fun activities! Chris and Rozaline kept us entertained with trivia quizzes, bingo, and bowls, with plenty of goodies up for grabs as always. Congratulations to Maureen P for winning bingo this week! 🍬🍬

We also enjoyed some gentle yoga, helping everyone stretch and move to benefit both body and mind. 🙆‍♀️

A talented singer visited us for a couple of performances, and by the end, everyone was singing and clapping along, wishing it would never end! 🎤

Unfortunately, the recent rainy weather has kept us from doing some planting in the garden, but we're hopeful for a break in the rain soon so everyone can get their green thumbs ready! 🪴

We also received a lovely visit from Bromley Parish Church, who kindly gifted us beautiful flowers and chocolates as a thank-you for all we do. 🍫🌷 Religious residents also had the opportunity to take part in holy communion and enjoy meaningful readings.

Lastly, we're gearing up for our upcoming Halloween party—be sure to come dressed in your best spooky outfits! 👻🎃
