🧘‍♀️ Today is National Relaxation Day! This is a reminder that rest isn't just nice to have, it's necessary, especially for those who spend their time caring for others.

In the world of home care, it’s easy to prioritise everyone else’s wellbeing before our own. But carers (both professional and family) deserve space to recharge, too.

That’s why Respite Care is such a vital part of what we offer at Care Nexus. It gives family carers the opportunity to take a proper break, with the reassurance that their loved one is being cared for with empathy, professionalism, and consistency.

🐾 It’s International Cat Day (and Dog Day later this month!), and both are a great opportunity to recognise the incredible impact pets can have on our wellbeing, particularly for older adults.

At Care Nexus, we’ve seen first-hand how animal companionship can make a real difference. For many of the people we support, a cat or dog is more than a pet, they’re a calming presence, a companion, and a key part of daily life.

Research continues to show that pets can:
