Following on from the recent success and positive feedback from Elizabeth's first pathology webinar we decided to run a second part, opening up Elizabeth's vast knowledge to a wider audience while discussing a different group of remedies.

Elizabeth will be looking at the relationship between the remedies and their related miasms.

My latest article is now available on my website and investigates the essential role of oxytocin in helping to restore connection with social behaviour within an increasingly divided and polarised world. In this article I discuss a selection of remedies that can support this process.

At no time in our collective history has there ever been such a speed in the relaying ofcommunications as today. The influence of technology has permeated our lives, connecting usin unprecedented ways. From social media to instant messaging, the immediacy ofcommunication spans across age groups—fr...

I have always been interested in studying the lesser known
homeopathic remedies - especially in the context of physical states
of pathology.

It was my colleague, Alex Taylor, who, realising the thirst among
fellow homeopaths for such knowledge, kindly offered to organise
and host this webinar on my behalf on this subject.

I set out to explore eight different remedies which I find particularly indicated
in this context which I plan to brainstorm with the attendees. These remedies
include:- Dolichos pruriens, Hydrastis canadensis, Morphinum aceticum,
Plumbum metallicum, Quebracho aspidosperma, Scrophularia nodosa,
Staphylococcinum, and Streptococcinum.

The webinar will take place on-line on Thursday, 5th December from
9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and the cost is £25. A recording will also be
available.

The booking link is:- alextaylorcalendar.as.me/ElizabethPathologyWebinar

This promises to be a very unique and fact-filled event which aims to
increase the confidence of the prescriber to enable them to recognise and treat
physical pathology as a result.

It is nearly seven years since my first book - 'Touching Base with Trauma:- Reaching Across the Generations - a Three-Dimensional Homeopathic Perspective' was published. This has transpired to be a seminal contribution on the subject of trauma. Its release has been very timely with the current increased awareness of the rise in both naturally de-stabilising events as well as conflicts around the world which are occurring today.

Now, I have combined with my long-standing colleague and friend, Nigel Hargreaves, who is, as well as an experienced homeopath, an expert on climate change. We decided to join our efforts in putting forward a sustainable approach to health. This was based on our understanding of the different challenges of our rapidly changing world today compared with those at the time homeopathy was first discovered. Our basic message is that the fundamental principles still apply within this approach.

Together, we have delineated in the text the difference between 'trauma' (the early wound) and 'traumatisation' (which we believe taps into the original wound). Adopting this awareness with their patients, the authors have discovered, awakens the often unhealed parts which are crying out for help. It also contributes to the building of the much needed resilience to resist the perpetual pressures of today's world.

My latest article surveys a selection of remedies that can be used to address autism by taking a look at this condition through the lens of disruptive factors affecting the embryo during pregnancy.

In this article, I set out to portray ten different remedies according to the embryonic influences which could have contributed to the resulting development of autism and related 'states on the spectrum' in the presenting child. 1) Carcinosin Possible abuse - emotional or sexual, addiction, anticipa...

In my latest article I write about the importance of the remedy Secale cornutum in influencing the health of the placenta that could have life long impacts postpartum.

I have always been fascinated by this remedy as it is one of those rarities in being mainly defined by its picture of premature ageing (veering towards decay and gangrene in its end stages as the pathology progresses). It is derived from Ergot of Rye which is known to hasten childbirth from remote t...

The Vision of Hahnemann - In Light of the Polyvagal Theory

In this article, Elizabeth celebrates the vision of the vital force of Samuel Hahnemann when first discovering homeopathy. This is in light of the more recent Polyvagal Theory first explored by Stephen Porges in 2011. The overlap between the two is highlighted here and how this insight reinforces the timelessness of homeopathy in the challenging current times we now face.

Hahnemann, in his discovery of homeopathy all those years ago, coined the term 'the vital force'. This, in his view, represented a dynamic healing energy pervading the organism with its own intelligence. (1) This operated, he believed, in direct correlation with the mental/emotional state of the ind...

My latest article focusses upon speech delay as one of the many developmental delays observed in infants. I discuss remedies that may help to resolve this issue by taking into account the pregnancy preceding these events.

It is only in our very recent history that the significance of the gestational period of growth has played such an important role in understanding the source of language (and other developmental) delays in infants. This set me thinking, especially in cases where 'lack of reaction' had shown itself t...
