21st September marks Autumn Equinox - the end of the harvest season, or late summer. But what does it mean for us?
Let’s find out! 🍁
The change of seasons is part of an "energy circle" that we experience every year. As we enter a new season, the change of light and temperature aligns with the change of energy that is in and around us.
During this time of the year we harvest what has been given to us by nature, often put them in jars and preserve them.
Our "indoor" life begins both physically and spiritually, while new entities and energies take over nature.
Outside the leaves start to fall from the trees, and the air gets colder. Nature prepares itself for "death and rebirth".
• How to celebrate
To celebrate the autumn equinox we light a fire (or a candle, and wish that our larder may never be empty, and that we may always have enough to give.
We thank the Spirit for the bounty nature has presented us with, while we enjoy some seasonal foods as well as wine and honey.
