🔬 The Role of Sleep in Weight Loss
Did you know that a lack of sleep can make it harder to lose weight? When we don't get enough rest, the hormones that regulate hunger and metabolism (such as ghrelin and leptin) become unbalanced. This can lead to increased cravings for (unhealthy) food and binge eating. Quality sleep is therefore essential for good health and weight management.
👨⚕️ As a doctor, I always encourage my patients to aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. Your body will thank you in the long run!
