Yoga with Nita - Finchley Yoga Classes Finchley Yoga Classes with Nita Shah, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher. Her teaching style combines clear instruction and careful body alignment.

The classes primarily focus on the asana (physical yoga postures),
develop breath awareness and end with a relaxation. Workshops can include pranayama, restorative work and meditation

Nita Shah is a certified intermediate Iyengar yoga teacher. She teaches with a positive energy, combining knowledge and warmth, encouraging students to practice with awareness of their innate intelligence. Simple props are used to improve understanding and awaken the body’s natural intelligence, making postures accessible to all, whatever their level of experience or ability. Nita believes that classes should be informative, instructive and most of all, an enjoyable exploration that makes you leave the class feeling stronger, lighter and energized.

Winter Warmer - Boost energy, Breathe well

As the season draws us inwards, come and boost your energy and learn to breathe well at this November winter workshop.

We’ll be using restorative yoga poses to open the chest, relax the body and quieten the mind. We'll learn how to direct our attention and improve the way we breathe in, before moving on to more specific pranayama breathing techniques.

Restore Energy, Breathe Well
As we shift towards the Autumn season, discover how to relax and regulate your nervous system through restful, supportive postures and breath-work.

We will be using poses to bring freedom to the abdomen and chest region, so that the diaphragm, the main breathing muscle can move freely, before exploring pranayama techniques to improve how we can breathe well.

I'm back from summer break and looking forward to re-starting all classes this week. We're focusing on the groins and inner thigh muscles (adductors), which are important for stability, balance and movement of legs and trunk. Here's a reminder of the timetable.
