Make no mistake, we are angry!

The UK Government has launched an attack on nature and the laws that protect it.

Last week, the Government published outline plans to weaken crucial environmental laws. These laws protect some of our most vulnerable wildlife, green spaces, waterways and beaches across England.

The Government also announced further plans to create at least 38 'Investment Zones' across England, meaning housing and commercial developments could be encouraged to damage nature with little or no restriction.

Additionally, rumours have been circulating that the Government is also planning to scrap a vital scheme known as ELMS (environmental land management schemes) that would have supported our farmers and landowners to enhance nature.

Alone, one of these actions happening would be a disaster. Taken together, it is a clear and direct attack on nature, at a time when our planet is in crisis.

We have one simple request: tell your MP how you feel. Don’t let the Government do this in your name.

When the Wright brothers flew the first motorized plane, this tree was 180 years old. Now 300 years old, it was cut for the HS2 service road in the English town of Lemington.
