I’ve had a busy week in Essex celebrating a family birthday and catching up with friends. But I’ve also been working and enjoying time with my reflexology and health coaching hat on….
Monday I returned to the Essex Reflexology Support Network to talk about “Why Staying Strong Matters”… looking at why our muscle mass declines naturally after our 30’s and what we can do to negate the process. Also looked at why menopause makes this more prevalent for women with reduced oestrogen affecting both bone density and muscle strength.
Very special to be part of this group as I used to help run it myself when it was located in Billericay. Huge thanks to Debbie and Cheryl for taking the group on in Chelmsford and providing an invaluable support group for the Reflexologists in the Essex area. Hope to return again soon!
Yesterday was equally as special with a complete role reversal for myself and Louise Searles. I trained in reflexology at Louise’s Phoenix Holistic Beauty & Nail Training in 2004 when it was located in the Marconi Social Club in Great Baddow. We became firm friends and for many years I treated Louise to reflexology at my home practice in Galleywood.
But, yesterday, it was Louise treating me to reflexology as she decided to train in this wonderful modality herself. This was made all the more poignant as she is about to close the doors on the college venue at Warners Farm to take training in a new (and much needed) direction of continued professional development (CPD).
We both shed a tear after the treatment with the realisation of how much change we have both been through to get to the point of where we are today. Even though I’ve relocated to Derbyshire, Louise and I very much want to continue our connection and hope to collaborate in the not too distant future. More on that to follow later!
Tonight I meet with two more colleagues, Alison Adams and Paula Greensted to finalise the finer details of our women’s event in Chelmsford this coming October. Again, more on that to follow later!
And, whilst all this has been going on, I’ve been working with another colleague in Derby regarding another project for a women’s coaching group. Very early doors but exciting none the less 🙂.
Next week, I’ll be launching my coaching services with a special offer for 2026 clients. But more on that next week. Tomorrow is my Health Coaching graduation day with College of Naturopathic Medicine in London with my children by my side. Can’t quite believe I’m saying that but very proud of what I’ve achieved since leaving Essex and starting my new life in the East Midlands. All very surreal!
Thank you everyone for being part of the journey 😘
