🌟 Celebrating an Outstanding Achievement at Bluebird Care Oxford 🌟
We’re delighted to share some fantastic news from across the Bluebird Care network. Our colleagues at Bluebird Care Oxford have been rated ‘Outstanding’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an inspection carried out in December 2025
The service achieved:
⭐ Outstanding ratings for Caring, Well-Led and Effective (with an impressive 96% score)
⭐ Good ratings for Safe and Responsive
This marks a significant milestone for the Oxford team, who were previously rated Good at their last inspection in 2017. The latest CQC report highlights the incredible progress made, praising the service for delivering care that is flexible, person-centred, safe, effective and compassionate.
Supporting people across Oxford, including those living with dementia, complex health needs and physical disabilities, the team received consistently positive feedback from customers and their families.
Many described their Care Professionals as “like friends”, while others spoke movingly about the emotional support they received during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Inspectors noted that people using the service “consistently achieved outcomes that went beyond expectations”, including maintaining independence, preventing hospital admissions and improving emotional wellbeing. Customers also highlighted how respected, reassured and safe they felt, praising the professionalism and kindness of the team.
The report also recognised Bluebird Care Oxford’s proactive and thorough approach to care planning, regular reviews and ongoing assessment of people’s health, wellbeing and communication needs all contributing to continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
Leadership within the service was described by the CQC as “exceptional and visionary”, with colleagues sharing how supported and valued they feel.
One team member told inspectors:
“The managers genuinely care, it means a lot to us. I feel the managers are there for the right reasons.”
Reacting to the Outstanding rating, Managing Directors Peter Slough and Tim Rowland-Jones said:
