There are a huge range of occupations that are positively impacting the health of the public 🙌

With the right support, they can do even more to help reduce pressure on the NHS, build a healthier nation and support our economy.

Our new report outlines four key recommendations that would help unlock the potential of the UK’s Wider Public Heath Workforce. These are:

1️⃣ A cross-sector national strategy for the whole UK Public Health Workforce 🤝

2️⃣ Resourcing, upskilling and empowering the Wider Public Health Workforce 💡

3️⃣ Recognising the contribution of the Wider Public Health Workforce to public health and prevention 👏

4️⃣ Clearer routes into public health for the Wider Public Health Workforce 🛣

The report very clearly lays out the opportunity to improve the health, happiness and attainment of children by expanding access to nutritious food through the Free School Meal Programme (FSM), National School Breakfast Programme, and the Healthy Start Voucher scheme.
