The last few years have been… intense.

And I’m deeply grateful for my practices — they carry me so powerfully through.

Recently, I realised how much tension I was holding in my face.
Not just physically. Energetically.

We think we’re “fine.”
Until the body whispers otherwise.

Thankfully, I’m surrounded by incredible humans — and one of them is the magical Lenka .

She introduced me to Kobido — a 500-year-old Japanese facial massage known as the “Ancient Way of Beauty.”

Today was my second treatment.

And wow.

Under her expert hands, something melted.
My face softened.
My nervous system exhaled.
My whole being relaxed.

She even recommended face taping to lock in the effects — and the result?
A colourfully tapped face, a glowing, grounded, deeply relaxed version of me.

If you’re in Cheltenham, I cannot recommend her enough.

Now here’s the point I am making by sharing all these:

We are not just mind.
We are not just body.
We are not just thoughts or emotions.

We are all of it — and more.

Self-care is not indulgence.
It’s maintenance of the vessel that carries our vision.

When we tend to our body, our energy, our emotional world —
We expand our capacity to lead, create, and love.

A different start in the New Year.
Last few weeks of the year there was the usual pressure to:
- assess the year 2025
- plan the 2026
- strategy and social media content for the end of the beginning of the year
and also:
- clean
- declutter
- prepare the physical space for 2026.

The truth is I was feeling exhausted and my system was full.
I simply could not put one more thing on my plate.

It was another very challenging very transformative year.
I needed rest.
I needed to just be.
I needed these last 2 weeks to unplug.
I needed space.
I needed to let all the plans go and choose myself.

And I listed to that.

Now the first day of the year I started the year grounded, spacious and moving from the heart.

And then . . . this evening as a proof I didn’t think I needed, that we cannot control everything, both boiler’s thermostats broke.

The water was pouring on the floor like from a tap.

2 hours and a half of intense work followed. I did all I could to carefully contain the water so it doesn’t affect my neighbour’s flat.

So grateful to the plumber who came very fast and helped resolve this.

So yes.
A different start in the new year.

It will be plenty of time to assess the year that completed and plan this one soon.
For now, I breathe.
