The small stuff feels like it doesn’t count.
That’s the mindset trap that keeps you stuck 🤷‍♀️
You skip the 20 minute walk because — only 20 minutes.
You skip the protein because — one breakfast won’t fix anything.
You skip the one strength session you can manage this week because — surely one isn’t enough.

So you do nothing.
And nothing keeps stacking up.

Choices Compound Both Ways

Start with the basics.
Protein.
Walk.
One session.

Boring AF.
BUT Repeatable.

Three months of 2026... gone.

And if you're still burying your head in the sand ...
It's time.

Most women I speak to started January with a plan.
A promise.
A "this is MY year" moment that felt absolutely real at the time.
.... and three months later, nothing's really changed.

Same weight.
Same habits.
Same "I'll start next week BS."

Do something for me.
Get a pen and a bit of paper and write down a number between 1 and 10 for how happy you are with your health right now versus where you thought you'd be by April
Ten being absolutely buzzing, one being... s**t.

Then underneath...
What's actually gone well?
What needs to change?
How are you going to make that happen?
And the big one... who's going to help you?

Because that last question is the one nobody asks themselves. Ever.

You'll try a new diet alone. Download an app alone. Start running alone. Give it up alone. Start again alone. And round and round it goes.

Let me tell you about "Sarah" because I think it might completely change how you understand your own body — especially right now, the week before Easter, when every woman I know is already mentally writing off the next ten days.

She'd been struggling with the usual stuff — absolutely f***** by mid-afternoon, zero resistance around crisps, biscuits and chocolate after dinner, waking up tired no matter how much sleep she got.
She'd tried cutting carbs, Fasting, smaller portions, "being good" Monday to Thursday and writing off the weekend.
Nothing made a blind bit of difference.

And she honestly thought she was the problem
That she just lacked something other women had.

So I asked her to do one thing.
Not a diet.
Not a plan.
Not a restriction.
Just log what she was eating for four days with absolutely no agenda other than curiosity.
No judgement, no rules, no "good" or "bad" labels.
Just "let me see what's actually going on here."

Four days in she messaged me and said "I've found it."
She was eating 35 grams of protein across her entire day.
Thirty-five grams.

That's roughly one chicken breast spread across breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.
For the WHOLE day.

And suddenly everything made sense.
Her body was running on thin air from mid-afternoon.
Her blood sugar was crashing, her brain was screaming for quick energy, and the biscuit tin was right there answering the call every single evening like clockwork.

She wasn't greedy.
She wasn't weak.
She wasn't "addicted to sugar" or any of the other labels she'd been slapping on herself for years.

She was under-fuelled.
Full stop.

Once she saw that — once she had the information without all the emotional baggage she'd been layering on top — she made one adjustment to how she built her meals and within a week the afternoon crashes stopped, the evening cravings went quiet, and she actually had energy left at the end of the day for the first time in months.

Here's what I want you to take from this because it's important - especially right now...
You're about to spend a long weekend surrounded by chocolate, hot cross buns and cheese boards and prosecco.

And if you go into that weekend under-fuelled — running on toast and good intentions — your body will do exactly what it's designed to do.
It'll scream for quick energy.
And Tuesday after Easter? ... you'll blame yourself for having no willpower when actually you just didn't give your body what it needed to function.

Your cravings are almost never about discipline.
They're your body trying to communicate something.

This is going to sound like a small thing, but I promise you it's not.

I was coaching a client a few weeks ago and she told me she angles her bathroom mirror so it only shows her face.
She gets dressed without the big light on.
She walks past shop windows looking the other way.
And she's been doing it for years.

When I asked what she says to herself on the rare occasion she does catch her full reflection, she went quiet for a second and then reeled off the usual list — "disgusting," "let myself go," "what's the point."
Like she was reading from a script she'd memorised without even realising it.

And here's the thing that changed everything for her when I pointed it out...
The mirror isn't saying any of those things.
The mirror is just glass on a wall.
It has absolutely no opinions about her whatsoever.
SHE is the one writing that script, playing it on repeat, and then blaming the mirror for how she feels.

So I got her to do the maths.
If you look at your reflection three times a day and fire off even one negative thought each time, that's over a thousand attacks on your own confidence every single year.
In five years, that's more than five thousand times you've told yourself you're not good enough.
Five thousand.
And then we wonder why getting started feels so impossibly heavy.
Why motivation vanishes before Tuesday.
Why the whole idea of "doing something about it" makes you want to crawl back under the duvet.

If someone else had said those things to you five thousand times, you wouldn't be remotely confused about why you felt stuck.
You'd say "no wonder."
So… no wonder. 💔

But this is the bit I want you to actually take away and USE today.
Same mirror.
Same three glances.
But instead of the usual destruction, you say something that's true.
Not woo woo s**te that makes you cringe — just the truth.
Something like "I'm still here and I'm still trying." "I've handled harder things than this." "I'm done being my own worst enemy."

Whatever feels right for you.

Do THAT a thousand times over the next year and you will a million per cent be a woman twelve months from now.
Same mirror.
Same amount of time.
Completely different person looking back at you.

Compound interest working in your favour.

Most women who reach out to me can’t remember the last time they woke up actually feeling okay, and when I ask them that directly, they just go quiet.

Not because they’ve given up, but because the version of themselves that wakes up puffy, crashes mid-afternoon, and needs something in the evening to get by has become so familiar that it no longer registers as a problem—it’s just become their normal😔

By Wednesday afternoon most women are hanging on by their fingernails and they don't actually know why.

That was exactly what Rachel said to me when we first started — she's 47, runs an HR department, is REALLY good at managing herself in every other area of her life, but when it came to her eating habits - no matter what she tried, the second half of the working week had become a s**tshow

"I just thought this was how it felt to be me now," she said, which is the thing I hear more than almost anything else.

The afternoon crash, the cravings, the wine o'clock that stopped being optional somewhere along the way — all quietly filed under just how I am now.
