* SPF 30 or higher
* water resistant
WHO: men, women and kids over 6 months.
WHEN: every day, 30 mins before going outside. Reapply every 2 hours.
WHERE: all exposed skin.

Hell yes! I smile and give a knowing nod.

Being in business over the past 2 years has felt a bit like the scene pictured. Above all, it's the determination on her face that resonates the most.

Prior to studying nursing I studied business and for many years I wanted to open a small business.

After a very challenging winter working in ED the year before and a motivational chat with a work colleague, I decided to balance the scales and open Chalk Hill Blue...for a better 'work life balance ' (🤣).

The same work colleague became my first client and I was off...then I wasn't, due to a pandemic. Who knew.

So, I studied, I diversified and I've continued to remain committed despite the challenges I've had the privilege to encounter. The experiences to date are what have led me to you and have shaped my business in to what it is today.

I couldn't help the cringe I felt inside when I recently asked a friend about her skincare regime and she replied, "an emollient every now and again".

In fairness, skincare is an unnecessarily confusing space. The abundance of advice and products available is often conflicting and overwhelming.

So, keep it simple:

• Cleanse - am/pm - removes microbes, pollution, make-up, allowing better pe*******on of other products.

• Hydrate - am/pm - adds a barrier to prevent moisture loss.

• Protect - am - an absolute must have. Prevents premature ageing of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. SPF 50 every day (min. 30).

The above is a skeleton to then add on from depending on your skin concerns.

Not the peas! They nearly ended up in her handbag 🤭.

So tactile and such a fun distraction while having her Profhilo treatment tonight my patient nearly walked out of clinic with my little family of stress peas in her hand.

Happy new year to you 🥳.

Plenty of water and comfort food if you're a bear with a sore head today.

My sleep last night was plagued by thoughts of finishing my research assignment...ahh! I'm so close to finishing it but it feels so for away. This is proof there are words on a page 😂. It's also the penultimate module to complete my masters in advanced practice - helping me serve patients better.

I managed to wrangle a few 'friends' together to lure and spur me on at 5am. I even added one of my favourite balms to my armoury - silver shimmer 😉. A girl needs to not only feel but also look her best, even if sitting by myself in daggy pj's.

Whatever your day looked like yesterday, I hope it was filled with some F U N along the way.

I was lucky to be woken early by 3 very excited kids, had a mad morning watching them open gifts then the pleasure of working with this crazy bunch.

It's been another busy year, and I'm grateful to have had you with me along the journey.
