We’re excited to announce our upcoming Community Celebration Event and we’re looking for amazing people to help make it a day to remember!

🍔 Food Stall Holders
Do you serve delicious street food, sweet treats, or cultural dishes? We’d love to have a variety of cuisines and flavours represented.

🥤 Refreshment Stall Holders
From fresh juices and mocktails to coffee and cold drinks — help keep our community refreshed throughout the day!

🙋 Volunteers Needed
We’re looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to help with:
• Event stewards
• General event assistance

🎨 Activity Providers & Face Painters
Are you great at entertaining children (and adults!)?
We’re looking for:
• Face painters
• Kids’ activities
• Craft workshop hosts
• Games & interactive activity providers

🎉 A big welcome to our new Community Development Officer! 🎉

Hi everyone, meet Colin Haughton, who joined Erewash Voluntary Action on 23rd February 2026 👋

Colin has been working in the voluntary sector since 2019, when he founded his own charity focused on family wellbeing. He brings valuable experience from his previous role as a Community Development Worker in South Nottinghamshire, supporting communities across Rushcliffe, Gedling and Broxtowe.

In his new role, Colin is looking forward to connecting with organisations and partners across Erewash and building strong local relationships 🤝

East Midlands Sport Welfare Officers, in collaboration with Access Sport, are offering a free introductory learning session for clubs and organisations in the East Midlands.

Delivered by expert tutors from national sports inclusion charity Access Sport.

This session is for coaches, club welfare officers and other volunteers in your clubs.

Purpose of this session is to give you an introduction to creating sport environments in which neurodivergent participants feel welcomed and a sense of belonging

What will you get out of this session?
Enhanced confidence and ability to engage with neurodivergent participants and cater to various needs

Ability to enhance inclusivity for current participants, and create a welcoming space for future participants
