Visual Stress is not an optical or medical problem; it is a visual perceptual dysfunction affecting the brain's ability to process visual information causing difficulties primarily with reading and writing-based subjects.
Visual stress can have so many varied symptoms. You should consider an assessment if you suffer from migraines, struggle with dazzling car headlights, dislike bright lights, have multi-sensory overload, are finding it difficult to concentrate or have text distortion.
It is rare for colour not to help someone with ASD, as it ‘calms the world down’ and provides a protective barrier from the harshness of the world and it’s multi-sensory overload. Lisa is able to provide non-verbal assessments if required and is experienced in working with clients with ASD.
