Medium Loop Springs

Medium Loop springs in the UK are predominately used in motion furniture, 4.00mm and 4.10mm are the most commonly used diameters for this application. On the continent Medium Loop springs – 3.60mm, 3.80mm, 4.00mm – are used as an alternative to Zig Zag springs in seating applications.

Our Medium Loop springs can be manufactured in a range of different gauges, lengths and arcs.

In the UK Zig Zags springs are used for seating applications. Currently 9g/3.60mm Zig Zag springs are the most commonly used, although the demand for 8.5g/3.80mm and 8g/4.00mm has increased significantly in recent years.

Company Description
Wade Spring Limited is a leading UK manufacturer of furniture springs and has been manufacturing in the UK since the 1920s. Our product range includes Zig Zag Springs, Superloop Springs, Sinuous Springs, Mesh Top Coil Springs, Fishmouth Springs & Pocket Springs. We pride ourselves on our quality products and excellent customer service.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrician located in Long Eaton. The Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on machinery and equipment. The Electrician will also be responsible for troubleshooting and identifying electrical problems. The Electrician will work with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing facility.

Qualifications
• Time served apprenticeship/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance role in an industrial manufacturing environment
• IEE 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification (17th edition would also be considered)
• Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical work
• Experience in working with 3 phase systems and machinery
• Experience in maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
• Experience in troubleshooting and identifying electrical problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fault finding and Maintenance & Repair skills
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance
• Knowledge of Safety and Environmental regulations
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
• Experience working with PLCs and motor controls
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
