FIELD CARE SUPERVISOR - Colchester
This position is predominantly a care role with extra supervisor responsibilities working with and reporting to the manager, who is situated in another location therefore communication skills are key.
Duties to include:
Care reviews
Care plans
Help with Rota's
On Call
Risk Assessing
Recruitment
liaising with Council social workers and placement teams to bring on new clients
Other varied field duties to ensure the quality of care for our clients meets the highest standards.
We are looking for a responsible and organised person with good ethics of quality care. This position would suit an experienced carer looking to climb the ladder but are still happy to work a full rota of care. We invite applicants who already have management or supervisory experience who are happy to carry out care. This position would not suit school hours or someone looking to work solely at a desk. We expect that initially you will share management hours with the manager giving you about 5 hours a week of admin and 32.5 hours of care.
The right candidate would ideally grow the team and client base to a level where they can take a less active role in care thus enabling them to manage their team of carers and clients effectively. There is an expectation that you will work every other weekend on care but in time you can start to reduce the weekend work other than to cover sickness and holidays.
Our group of Clients are predominantly in the Stanway area of Colchester and from experience we would like the ideal candidate to be living in or close to the area.
Although this would suit a carer looking to progress up the ladder the position is open to senior and more experienced staff who are looking for a new challenge and keen to prove they can be successful at Briarcare.
