What an “egg-stra” special Easter weekend here at The Mayfields. We Kicked off on Good Friday with our Easter Bonnet competition, the residents on Bluebell and Primrose were helped to decorate their hats with staff. We were joined today by some Squirrels!! 🐿️ This Squirrels group is for 4-6 years old before going into Beavers, where the children gather to grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities. The children popped in for a visit to see the residents, and we all had a lovely time! Listening to a story, read by their Leader. The Squirrels helped the resident’s colour in easter pictures 🐣🐣 Lots of fun had by all!

We had a truly lovely morning baking cakes on Bluebell. The residents enjoyed taking part in this activity on a one‑to‑one basis, and it was wonderful to see how much joy and confidence it brought to each person. The smells, the conversation, and the sense of achievement made it a delightful experience for everyone involved.

We had such a lovely time celebrating Red Nose Day here at the home. Laughter and smiles filled every corner, and the afternoon was made even sweeter thanks to the delicious chocolate cakes baked by our wonderful chef, Kerry. Paired with a cosy cup of tea, they were a big hit with our residents.

What a fantastic games morning at our care home today! 🎈

Residents had a wonderful time keeping the colourful parachute bouncing, tossing beach balls high into the air, and moving along to some feel-good music. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and amazing teamwork all around — a perfect reminder that staying active together brings so much joy.
