Just two veneers… a world of difference!

We’re so pleased for our lovely patient in her late 70s, who recently had just two porcelain veneers with Sandeep. These were carefully designed with one of our trusted labs, to blend beautifully with her existing dental work. Such a small, precise enhancement, yet it has totally transformed her smile.

Personalised dentistry is all about finding the right approach for each individual, and in this case, a minimal, tailored plan delivered an outstanding, natural result.
It’s amazing how even the smallest changes can restore confidence and brighten someone’s whole expression. A truly wonderful outcome.

Cold weather can make sensitive teeth feel worse. ❄️

Try these tips:
Use sensitive toothpaste - helps block exposed dentine and reduce discomfort.
Avoid very hot or cold foods - sudden temperature changes can trigger pain.
Brush gently with a soft‑bristle brush - over‑brushing can wear enamel.

Book a check‑up if it persists as sensitivity can be a sign of underlying issues.

Today is Blue Monday; often labelled the “gloomiest day of the year,” January can feel long, cold, and a bit overwhelming, and many people notice their motivation and wellbeing dip around this time. Your oral health can be affected too; stress, disrupted routines, and comfort snacking all play a part.

Here are a few simple, smile‑friendly ways to lift your mood today:
Stay hydrated - it boosts energy and helps protect your teeth
Choose crunchy fruits and veg for a natural mood and oral‑health boost
Get outside for some fresh air - even a short walk can help reset your mind
Keep up your brushing routine - small habits make a big difference
Check in with someone you care about - connection is powerful

If you’re feeling low, be kind to yourself. And if you’ve been putting off a dental check‑up, we’re here to make things as easy and comfortable as possible.

🦷 What Causes Gum Boils?

A gum boil (also called a dental abscess) is a sign of infection. Common causes include:
🦷Bacterial infection in the gums – often due to untreated gum disease.
🦷Severe tooth decay – infection spreads from the tooth root into the gum tissue.
🦷Poor dental hygiene – plaque buildup and untreated cavities increase risk.
🦷Trauma or injury to gums/teeth – damage can allow bacteria to enter.
🦷 Impacted food particles – trapped food can irritate gums and lead to infection.

🚨 When to Seek Help
You should see a dentist immediately if you notice:
🦷A swollen, pus-filled bump on your gums
🦷Persistent pain or swelling in the mouth
🦷Redness, bad breath, or difficulty opening your mouth
🦷Fever or feeling unwell – signs the infection is spreading
🦷If the boil pops on its own – the infection is still present and needs treatment

Ignoring a gum boil can allow bacteria to spread to other parts of the body, which can become life-threatening.
