Peacefully on Tuesday 26th August in Dumfries Royal Infirmary Alan of Bowling Green Cottage Hollee. Dearly loved husband of Margaret, much loved dad of Ann, Paul and Mark and a cherished grandad and great grandad. A graveside service will be held in Kirkpatrick Fleming Cemetery at 12noon on Friday 19th September to which all friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to The Alexandra Unit DGRI.

We are sad to announce the passing of David Corrie Calvert M.B.E.

Peacefully on the 23rd of August at the Cumberland Infirmary, David aged 85 years.
Beloved husband of Sheila, dear dad of John, Aileen and Ross, adored papa, cherished father-in-law and a great friend to many.

Funeral service to be held at Langholm Parish Church on Tuesday 9th September at 11:00 am followed by interment at Langholm Cemetery.
Friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Family flowers only, donations if so desired will be for the Langholm Town Band.

McCormick Robin.
Peacefully at home on 13th August surrounded by his family Robin aged 82 years. Much loved Dad of Karl and Nicola, loving father-in-law of Wendy and Adrian, adored grandad of Daniel, Meg, Rhys and Ewan, grandfather-in-law of Harry and Jules, great grambo of Sully, Linc and Mila, a loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Robin will be received into church on Monday 25th at 5:00pm.
A Requiem Mass to take place at St Augustines RC Church on Tuesday 26th August at 11:00am followed by a private burial at Stanwix cemetery.
Refreshments will be held at Carlisle Cricket Club and all are welcome to attend.
Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Robin will go to The British Heart Foundation and Hospice at Home. At Robinā€™s request please wear a touch of yellow or Carlisle United top. Robin is resting in the care of Nicholsons Funeral Directors Longtown 01228 791098

Denis Robinson

We are heartbroken to announce that Denis aged 91 years passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Infirmary on Sunday 27th of July after a short illness.
He will be missed beyond measure by his wife Barbara, children Judith, Nick and Mandy, son and daughter in laws Alan, Sarita and Gary, grandchildren Catherine, Stephen, Calvin, Hartley, Gemma and Claire.
Denis was a Milkman in Stanwix in the 60s, Grocer at the VG Shop in the 70s, Publican of the Ship Inn at Thursby in the 80s and all round lovely man.

Funeral service to be held at Carlisle Crematorium on Thursday 14th August at 3:00pm. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only, donations if so desired will be for Eden Valley Hospice.
