After a recent spell of illness, borne with dignity and courage, Maureen passed away on Monday, May 18th, 2026, aged 76 years, in the tender care of staff at Ward 7, Dr. Gray’s Hospital, Elgin and some friends. Maureen was a loving daughter of the late Mrs C. Fraser, a loving sister of the late Doreen, a dear sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and a good friend to many. Maureen’s Requiem Mass will take place at St. Margaret’s R.C. Church, Forres on Thursday, June 4th at 11.30am to which all are invited. Family flowers only please. Maureen, you are dearly loved and sorely missed. R.I.P.

Angela, Rhys and family would like to thank all who have shown them kindness and support by way of cards, flowers, calls, visits and kind messages following their very sad loss of Ian. A heartfelt thanks to Ryan, Liam and staff of Graham J. Rattray Funeral Directors for their attention to detail, compassion and dignified care of Ian and their nothing was too much trouble approach with the family throughout. Thanks also, to Wendy Toner, celebrant, for telling Ian’s story so well, to Gill Garrow for the gorgeous arrangement of red roses and thistles and the Stotfield Hotel, Lossiemouth for the lovely funeral tea. Finally, thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far and generously donated £855 to CLAN Cancer Support, your kindness is very much appreciated. Ian will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.

It is with deep sadness, that the family announce the passing of Patricia (Pat), on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, aged 85 years. Pat passed away peacefully with her three children, Graham, Malcolm and Jennifer by her side. Pat was the devoted wife of the late Ted (Jenmar), a very much loved sister, adoring nan of Amy, Caroline, Laura, Moray, Fraser, Charlie and Isla and 'Great Nana Pat' of Robbie, Rory, Charlotte and Sophia. Our hearts are heavy but, they are also filled with immense pride and countless happy memories of her truly wonderful life. Pat’s funeral service, to which all are welcome, will be held at 1.30pm on Monday, June 1st, in Lossiemouth Parish Church (St James’) and thereafter to Lossiemouth Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations to a Dementia Charity can be made at the church door, if desired.

Elaine, Lisa, David, Sarah and their families would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed kindness and support by way of calls, visits, cards and flowers following the sad loss of Alan. We would like to thank Graham J. Rattray Funeral Directors, Lossiemouth for their outstanding attention to detail and compassionate care throughout. A special thank you to Liam and Chloe for their care and empathy shown to the family, you made a difficult time for us a whole lot easier. Many thanks to Janet Donnelly, humanist for capturing Alan’s spirit so perfectly, it was a lovely tribute to his life, to Room to Bloom Florist, Elgin for their lovely floral arrangements, to the Laichmoray Hotel, Elgin for providing tea/coffee. A special thank you to Alan’s care team in the Beech Unit, Meadowlark Care Home, Forres. We will never forget the respect and gentleness you showed caring for him. Lastly, thank you to all who paid their last respects to Alan at his service, those who joined via livestream, your presence was greatly appreciated and your generous donations raised £515 for Dementia UK, a charity close to our hearts.

It is with great sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Ian, (otherwise known as the TV Man), on Monday, May 4th, 2026, at the young age of 61 years. Best friend and loving husband of Angela, devoted dad of Rhys, cherished grandad of Brodie and Murray, a dear son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and a friend to many. Ian’s funeral service is private at his family’s request. Requests to attend can be made via, the funeral director, Graham J. Rattray Funeral Directors, Lossiemouth, Tel: 01343 815073. Family flowers only please, donations to CLAN Cancer Support, who made Ian’s life easier whilst undergoing radiotherapy in Aberdeen can be made at the funeral home door, if desired.
