Yesterday I was involved and took part in hostingMoray Business Women ladies charity golf day Hopeman Golf Club
I haven’t played for many years (12+) the clubs were dusty (to say the least) and I was way out of practise. Big thanks to my playing partner Bonnie McDonald for a fab round it was so much fun!
What I realised when I was going by round was how much I’d enjoyed playing golf, how easy life had taken over and this morning how stiff I was (despite working with client golfers to help them!!) I’d walked over 22,000 in total yesterday and was smiling!! How much it improved my mental health and how relaxed I felt.
Talking to other ladies who were in a similar situation not played or never played how much they enjoyed the day and were all smiling later in the club house (no the cocktails were mocktails!)
How much we forget that activity is exercise and comes in any form whether you play 9 holes, 18 holes or even an hour puttin lesson.
Find something your enjoy and do it, it may just be returning to an old hobby albeit at a more leisurely pace. Give that something you’ve always wanted to do but too afraid you’ll look silly a go - you never know you may enjoy it
So now I off to try and do the stretches I give to help other golfers and start plan when to play the next round (and plan the event for next year) 😂
