Hello all.
Just checking in and letting you know I’m still here and still doing well. Sometimes life gets in the way a bit…or a lot. I haven’t posted anything in ages but I didn’t want anyone to think anything bad has happened. In fact, it’s been mostly good. Got married, kids are all doing well, wife is wonderful and job is tough but great. I feel i have neglected the page a lot but im going to try and get back to it a bit. Have a great day and stay safe

Hi friends. Me and Benjamin Dma have started this monstrosity of a podcast. We’re not looking to retire off of it but get views and subscribers opens up a load of tools we can use. Plus it’s quite a good listen and a nice distraction from all the not so nice stuff going on in the world. Just two best friends who have no idea why they are mates talking about stuff they find interesting. Give a listen and a subscribe would be great appreciated.

I was in active addiction for around 20 years though it is really hard to pin point the exact moment. I was a functioning addict, a term I hate as there was nothing functional about what I was doing. I had the house, family, car, job all the trappings. Eventually though, my addiction caught up with me. I could no longer function.
A 3 month stint in a rehab with intensive therapy and brutal honesty saved my life. 2 years on, lots of meetings, tons of talking, I decided to share my story and that of others on this page and spread the message that recovery is possible and it is so much better than a life of addiction.
Today, I have a great relationship with my daughter, my ex wife and I are on good terms. My family want to spend time with me and my friends both old and new no longer avoid me.
Recovery, for me is a simple case of putting in work to stay clean and sober. I say “Try anything and everything twice for your recovery. If you still think it’s sh*te, drop it.”
This page and the stories it contains are a resource. For those interested in recovery, those who need it, those who might think they need it and for those who know someone who needs it. We share opinions, we don’t do bu****it. We value everyone we talk to and their unique journey. Take something from us, or don’t. You have the choice.
Perhaps something you see or hear will help you fill that hole in you that you are constantly trying to fill. I hope something here makes you feel a little happier and maybe a shared experience might make you like yourself a bit.
