Today marks exactly four months until the Conference, and we’re pleased to be counting down to an event that continues to support innovation and best practice in clinical engineering.

Ultrasound QA is also an infection control issue. Probe condition affects more than image quality.
Even minor damage to lenses or cables can:
• Compromise cleaning
• Increase cross-contamination risk
• Go unnoticed without inspection

If QA isn’t documented, did it really happen?
From a governance perspective, QA isn’t just technical. In adverse incidents, one question comes up repeatedly:
Can you demonstrate that the equipment was properly checked and managed?

When probes were assessed through structured QA programmes, the findings are often surprising:
