To celebrate what would have been Elvis’s 91st birthday, we were treated to an Elvis-themed day filled with wonderful music and memories! ❤️ 👑 🎤

Getting us warmed up and testing our knowledge, our coffee morning quiz, got us chatting away and sharing memories of the great man ❤️

Then wow… when a ‘professional Elvis’ arrived in the Millstone Café, he had us all singing along to the songs we know and love, as the afternoon filled with emotion; there were smiles, tears, and lots of love, as everyone remembered what Elvis had meant to them over the years ❤️

Singing along, holding hands and even dancing with Elvis made it such an uplifting experience, with everyone really enjoying the moment 🎤👑

Add a little sherry and spending time with friends, it was a wonderful afternoon - in fact we were all shook up… uh-huh! 🎶

Thank you Elvis, we loved it and had a fabulous time! 🥰

Our next Friendship Cafe is at 10.30-12 noon on Friday 9th January!

If you would like some friendly company, or you’re a carer supporting a loved one, please come along to our next café - you’ll be made to feel very welcome!

Our Friendship Cafe opens its doors to the community on the second Friday of every month, where you can enjoy a tempting selection of delicious cakes and a superb choice of cappuccinos, lattes, and teas — completely free for everyone who joins us. ☕🍰

We have a lovely friendly group get together in our beautiful cafe and welcome anyone new to join us. Our wonderful volunteers are on hand to welcome you too 💜

If you would also like to take the opportunity of taking a tour of the home, we would be delighted to assist you.

What a wonderful morning we had with the adorable AMC Dance Tots! ✨🎄

They came along to jingle their bells and dance the morning away, bringing smiles to everyone. We created a Santa’s sleigh, led by one of our lovely ladies, while the tots shook their jingle bells and we all sang along to every word and having lots of fun! 🎶🔔

It was such a treat to spend time with the gorgeous children, they were incredibly entertaining and loved chatting with us, which made the morning even more special for everyone ❤️

A huge thank you to AMC Tots for bringing so much joy to Lonsdale! ❤️

Happy New Year from everyone at Lonsdale Mews! 🎉🥂

In true Lonsdale-style, you can be sure there was a super-sparkly New Year’s Eve party celebration for all to enjoy ✨ 🥳

A huge thank you to Sam for getting everyone in the party spirit and singing along to their favourite tunes, while we enjoyed a little tipple, and for some, even a dance or two! 💃🕺

Well done to Team Melissa and Sally for bringing such fantastic party energy to the afternoon and even looking like fireworks themselves! There were so many happy faces, plenty of clapping along, and everyone enjoying the company of friends — it was very special ✨

What a superb way to end a fabulous year of entertainment and activities at Lonsdale Mews. There’s no stopping this team — plans are already well underway for 2026 and another great year of fulfilling lives! We love it ! ❤️

Our Christmas yoga session with instructor Karolina was an extra special treat for everyone 🎄☺️

For our final session of the year, Karolina brought along her family, including her adorable 14-month-old son dressed in a gorgeous elf costume. We all sang along to The 12 Days of Christmas, complete with actions, to get us all moving and well and truly into the Christmas spirit 😊

We look forward to welcoming Karolina back in the New Year to help us work off our festive indulgences! 😊

Christmas has been full of festive spirit at Lonsdale, especially with Sally and Melissa bringing smiles and laughter in their hilarious outfits! 🎅😆

The fun loving pair danced through the corridors and visited rooms, spreading Christmas cheer with their trolley of hot chocolate (with optional little tipple!), mince pies, and chocolates.

We certainly know how to throw a good party at Lonsdale — in fact, we threw two! 🎉🥳

In the lead-up to the big day, our amazing team pulled out all the stops to host a fantastic afternoon of festive fun for both our floors. With Charlotte singing all the Christmas party hits we know and love, the cafe was full of joy with plenty of sing-alongs, dancing, and great moves filled the room! It was also wonderful to have some of our families join us to share in the festivities 🎶🎤

What a truly happy and upbeat time was had by everyone, getting us all in the spirit of Christmas. Every little detail was thoughtfully planned by the team….and when someone mentioned “snow,” we made that happen too! ❄️

A big thank you goes to our lifestyle team for the care, energy and enthusiasm put into all our events. Thank you also to our fantastic volunteers for assisting us to make this such a fabulous afternoon for everyone, and for your continued support in enhancing everything we do for our residents at Lonsdale all year round! 👏🥳

Our stunning new care home in Quorn will provide a range of quality care services for older people in luxurious surroundings.

Lonsdale Mews is a brand new care home that will open in September 2020. Located on Farley Way, on the outskirts of the village of Quorn, with beauty spots of Swithland Woods and Bradgate Park close by and only a few minutes from the centre of Loughborough and close to junction 23 of the M1. Our new care home has 64 rooms and will provide completely personalised residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and short-term (respite) basis. Our skilled team will get to know your loved one’s needs, interests and preferences so that we can shape all aspects of their care and experiences at the home to suit them.

Relax in beautiful surroundings

The emphasis at Lonsdale Mews will be on enabling your loved one to continue to enjoy a wonderful lifestyle. The home will have its own cinema room, hair and beauty salon; plus an inviting café where residents and visitors will be free to help themselves to a freshly brewed coffee or speciality tea, as well as a slice of homemade cake. Each of the bedrooms will be individually-styled and beautifully furnished, with an en-suite wet room. Your loved one will be welcome to personalise their room, and, if they enjoy access to an outside space, our ground floor rooms will open onto their own patios.
