Westfield House has staff that are trained to meet the needs of people living with dementia. Abbeyfield’s staff understand that dementia can cause Residents to feel fearful and frustrated, and so our aim is to develop a safe and homely environment which reduces anxiety and promotes well being. Two staff members are dedicated to undertake such activities as life story work and reminiscence sessions which focus on happy memories and provide opportunities for meaningful and rewarding experiences.
