Measles, mumps, and chickenpox are 3 viruses that can cause encephalitis, an uncommon but serious swelling of the brain.

The MMRV vaccine protects you against all-3 of these viruses, as well as rubella. 🔴🧠

🚧Wednesday 18/02 update: Leicester Road open from Kirk Hill end to the surgery, please still leave plenty of time to get to appointments, just in case they close areas to finish the road painting. 🚧The road works have commenced on Leicester Road today and will finish later this week.

‼️ DID NOT ATTENDS FOR JANUARY‼️

206 patients failed to attend their appointments for the last month.
This equates to a total of 48 hours of wasted clinical time resulting in 2 hours per day.

There are a number of ways to cancel your appointment; via Systmonline, NHS or Airmid app and by speaking to one of our receptionists.

A purse was handed in at reception today (Thursday 15th January).

If you can identify what the saying is on the heart and describe the images with some proof of ID that matches the cards we will happily return it to the owner if they come forward.

9.01am - At present, the car park is closed for safety reasons.

When the car park is closed, please do NOT park your car in front of the gate. If an ambulance is required or a doctor needs to leave urgently, this could cause a delay.

If you must visit the surgery, please allow plenty of time and take care when walking.

The Met Office is forecasting heavy snow in the area tomorrow, which may lead to difficult travel conditions and local disruption.

If you have an appointment at the surgery tomorrow, please take extra care when travelling, allow extra time for your journey, and wear suitable footwear.

MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.
