The process for holiday cover is simple and easy to organise. Make a quick phone call to our friendly office team, they will send a Supervisor to do an in-home assessment, a rota will be sent to let you know what times they could attend.

After a life-changing operation, Chris faced a difficult road to recovery. Following the amputation of his left leg, he was left feeling vulnerable, isolated, and unsure of what the future would hold. 💙

When Chris came to Caremark, he needed 28 hours of care a week and support from two care assistants four times a day. He was struggling with low self-esteem, poor skin health, and an unsafe living environment.

Working closely with his social worker, we helped Chris move into a more suitable home—one where he could feel safe and start rebuilding his confidence. With the support of our care team, he began to regain his independence.

With Caremark companionship visits were arranged, and Chris was supported on trips to the shops and cafés. Slowly, Chris began to smile again. Today, he only needs one care assistant per visit—and he’s even talking about joining our monthly coffee club. ☕💬

Chris’s journey is far from over, but with the right care, he’s moving forward with confidence and hope.

Here are five delicious, water-rich foods that can help boost hydration and overall well-being:

At 94, Olga Dyson is thriving, but just over a year ago, her family feared the worst.
After collapsing at home and being hospitalised, Olga became unresponsive. Her loved ones gathered, uncertain if she would recover.

Thankfully, she did. And with the proper care in place, she’s made remarkable progress.

At first, Olga required four daily visits from two carers to support her mobility and personal care. Today, she’s regained much of her independence and only needs minimal assistance.

Olga says she looks forward to seeing her carers daily and has built strong, trusting relationships with them. Her daughter Jo, who shares a home with her, says the support has brought peace of mind and allowed her to regain balance in her life.

After experiencing a stroke and losing his mum to dementia, Mark found himself isolated, struggling with his speech, and unsure about accepting help. At first, the idea of care felt difficult, as he did everything independently. But after his sister arranged support through Caremark, things began to change.

With regular visits from his care assistants, Mark began to regain his confidence. He found companionship and structure. He began cooking and getting back into woodworking through a local day centre.

These days, Mark says he feels more open. Before, he would go months without a meaningful conversation, but now, he sees people who understand him on a daily basis. Mark knows that without care, things could have looked very different.

To anyone going through something similar, Mark's advice is simple: “Just take every day as you can.”
