Get ready for a new week of Pilates 👍

Our face to face classes start to return from the Easter break this week with Jenny teaching at Rempstone Village Hall on Thursday and Friday 👏

Online classes are running as usual 🙌

Hope you have caught this week’s newsletter … Your Whole Self looks at mind vs body and procrastination, eg thinking about starting vs action, eg not thinking but feeling and doing 🙌 I’m already getting some response to this.

Lovely to be back online today and seeing everyone to Kick Start our day.

We focused on balance and I demonstrated how not to balance really well 🤭

So lots of practice for me … on a serious note balance is a really great thing to work on every day, specially if your hips and lower back are getting a bit stiff and tired.

I’m still working on getting my strength and stability back whilst rehabbing from my back and sciatica issues at the end of last year and my balance is one of those things where I need to keep working.

So join me and if you are having difficulty with balance and strength for the hips we can work together to keep building good foundations and keep us upright and moving.

Happy Easter weekend everyone 🐣🤗

I’m just dropping in here to say that this weekend’s newsletter will be arriving in your inbox on Sunday morning as usual.

As it’s the first weekend in April, it’s time for JTP book club and I am recommending ‘The Barbecue at No.9’ by Jennie Godfrey.

The EOTW focuses on healthy hips.

Your Whole Self is all about ‘rules’ — those that aren’t written down but we hold for ourselves as we go through life … and how difficult it can become when expectations that everyone lives by the same set of rules just isn’t true.

Enjoy the weekend and sit down with a cuppa, maybe some chocolate and have a read.

It’s time to start our Easter break 💐🐣🐥 so no face to face classes this week as the teachers take a well earned rest.

The online timetable has specific recordings selected in the regular slots … but of course there are hundreds of other recordings to choose from in the JTP Zone. So no need to miss out on your Pilates fix 👍

I hope you’ve had time to read today’s newsletter which has the first part of my ‘hip work’ series as the exercise of the week. And I talk about Balance vs Balancing in Your Whole Self … not simply about standing on one leg, but how working towards balancing rather than talking just about ‘Balance’ will help stop the feelings of failing. If we can embrace the wobble and accept the possibility of constantly adjusting we can achieve better balance which in turn has a positive affect on our mindset and wellbeing.
