Good afternoon everyone 🤗

How has the first day of March been for you?

During this month I am encouraging you to focus on ‘inspired living’.

I introduced this in today’s newsletter, asking what it means for you, and what inspires you. And I want you to be curious about this during our Pilates classes.

It’s not about exercises or perfect technique, but more to do with showing up for yourself, whether that be in an online class or in a face to face class, and sharing that with others who are doing the same.

When you do this, you are choosing strength, mobility, breath and care.

Each time you roll out your mat, you’re not just “doing a class.” You are practicing inspired living in real time. And you aren’t doing it alone which is what makes it powerful.�

Welcome March 🤗

Check in with today’s newsletter where I talk about Inspired Living .. what does it mean and what inspires us.

The exercise of the week is a mobility sequence for the hips using a Pilates soft ball, plus book club news, and all up to date information about classes as we return after our half term break.

March is one of my favourite months, it’s the month of more daylight, more spring flowers blossoming and a time for fresh starts.

Hey everyone … hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Just a quick update about this week’s up and coming classes.

It’s still our half term break for face to face, in person classes. However there are classes on Friday at Old Woodhouse, which are catch up classes that had to be cancelled earlier in the year due to bad weather.

If you have already read today’s newsletter, you will know that my time off last week didn’t quite go to plan so this week’s online classes are mostly recordings. If anything changes I will

let you know … and you will see the links change in the JTP Zone website.

I hope you have also enjoyed reading this week’s newsletter which is all about Control … what it feels like when you don’t have it, and how to deal with the effects, physically and emotionally.

I hope you are enjoying the weekend, and although today is a bit of a wash out, we did get a hint of a blue sky and sunshine yesterday … giving us all hope.

This week’s newsletter is out and will have landed in your inbox this morning.

The EOTW is a preparation for leg pull supine … a bit of a challenge for upper body strength, plus stability for the back and legs.

The theme for Your Whole Self this week is tension, where does it come from and how does it affect our mind and body?

One of the reasons I love Pilates so much is because it gives us space to notice what is going on and helps us to release tension.

Pilates gives us space to notice, to breathe, to lengthen instead of grip and to strengthen without hardening. We don’t just “work muscles”, we practice releasing what we don’t need.
This is whole self wellbeing.

You can join me in class this week online and give yourself some time to let go.
