✨ Out of your head... and back into your body ✨
(Easier said than done, right?)

If overthinking was an Olympic sport, I’d have gold medals in every event 🏅💭
The spiral of what ifs, should haves, and why did I say that…
It's exhausting. And it’s not just in your head — your body feels it too.

Tension in the jaw? Clenched fists? Tight shoulders? 💥 That’s not “just stress” — it’s your nervous system stuck in a loop, trying to protect you.

Overthinking is your brain’s attempt to keep you safe — but it ends up doing the opposite 😵‍💫 It keeps your body on high alert, pumping cortisol and tension into every cell. Not ideal when you just want to feel calm, connected, and semi-human.

So… how do we actually get out of our heads?

💡 We move.
💡 We stretch.
💡 We breathe.
💡 We reconnect with our senses.
💡 We come back home to our body.

When you move, you let the nervous system discharge the stress.
When you stretch, you open up all that stuck, stagnant energy.
When you breathe deeply and slowly, you flip the switch from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest.
When you feel your feet, notice your breath, and drop into your body, your mind softens too.

🌿 Here are a few of my go-to stress busters: – Shake it out like no one’s watching (because they aren’t… probably) 🕺
– Legs up the wall for 5 minutes 🦵🧱
– Stretch your neck and jaw (tension loves to live there) 😬
– Slow, conscious breathing: inhale 4, exhale 6 🫁
– Go for a walk and feel your feet hit the ground 🚶‍♀️👣
– Pop on a soothing voice (👋 hi) and listen to a calming audio

The body is always the way through.
Let’s get out of our heads… and back into a place that actually feels good to live in 💛

Hi, I’m Lynz… and I’m a recovering stress-head & worryaholic 😅💭

I used to find comfort in overthinking — I mean, if there was a worst-case scenario to imagine, I was already living in it (mentally, emotionally… probably in my dreams too) 🧠🔥

My coping toolkit used to look like this:
🍷 Booze – for numbing
🍫 Junk food – for comfort (chocolate for dinner? Don’t judge)
🙈 Isolation – for hiding from the world (classic move)

These days? I still overthink sometimes (the classics are hard to quit) but now I meet myself on a whole new level

🧘‍♀️ Movement
🧎‍♀️ Mobility & stretching
💨 Breathing (like, actually breathing… not just shallow panic puffs)
👯‍♀️ Community (yoga, gym, biker family, coffee and waffles with my closest ride or die pals)
🥗 Whole foods (most of the time – stress still whispers Fruit & Nut sometimes, and that’s okay)

☀️I’ve swapped escapism for embodiment.
☀️Sitting in my head for movement.
☀️The busy trap for long held stretching.
☀️Avoidance for awareness.
☀️Loneliness for connection.

I’m still figuring it all out, I think that's how we humans evolve, but my nervous system is finally learning what safety feels like — not just in my body, but in my life 💫

If you’re on the same path — healing, growing, fumbling your way toward wellness — you’re not alone. You’re in good (slightly chaotic but deeply caring) company ❤️

Press, Soothe, Relax 🧠💆‍♀️
Your nervous system called—it’s begging for a little TLC! 😵‍💫➡️😌

If you’ve been feeling tense, wired, or like your shoulders are permanently attached to your ears 🙃, it’s time to show some love to your vagus nerve—the VIP of relaxation and stress relief!

💡 The vagus nerve is like your body’s “chill out” switch—it runs from your brain all the way down to your gut, controlling everything from stress levels to digestion. When it’s happy, you feel calm. When it’s frazzled, you feel anxious, stiff, and generally meh. 😬

Enter: Self Vagus Nerve Massage! 💆‍♀️✨
Good news—you don’t need a fancy spa day to reset your nervous system. Just a few simple massage techniques can signal your body to relax, let go, and breathe easier.

🎥 I’ve recorded a quick self vagus nerve massage video to guide you through it—so no excuses! 😜 Give it a go and let me know how you feel after!

👉 Hit play, try it out, and let your nervous system thank you later!

Who else needs this right now? 🙋‍♀️💬

🧠 Muscles & Mindset 💪

Ever woken up feeling like you’ve wrestled a bear in your sleep? Or tried to touch your toes and realised your hamstrings have the flexibility of uncooked spaghetti? 🍝😅 Well, you can thank (or blame) your nervous system for that!

Your nervous system and your muscles are BFFs—constantly chatting behind the scenes. When your nervous system is stressed, it tightens everything up like an overprotective bodyguard. Cue stiff necks, aching shoulders, and that classic “why do I feel 90 years old?” sensation. 😵‍💫

Here’s why it happens:
⚡ Fight-or-Flight Mode = Tension Central
When your body thinks you're in danger (even if it’s just a stressful email), your nervous system signals your muscles to contract—prepping you to run, fight, or dramatically exit the situation. The problem? Most of us stay stuck in this mode ALL DAY. 😬

🛌 Rest Mode = Relaxation & Recovery
When your nervous system finally chills out, your muscles can too! This is when your body heals, repairs, and lets go of tension. If you’re constantly tight, your nervous system might need a little nudge to relax!

How to Loosen Up & Let Go
💆‍♀️ Massage: A proper Swedish or deep tissue massage sends signals to your brain that it’s safe to relax—helping your muscles melt like butter in the sun. ☀️🧈

🧘‍♀️ Yoga: Holding poses (especially in Yin & Fusion Yoga) helps retrain your nervous system to stop gripping for dear life. Try long, deep stretches and notice how much more free your body feels!

😮‍💨 Breathe & Shake it Off: Slow breathing tells your nervous system it’s time to relax—plus, a good shake (literally, shake your arms and legs) helps your body release stored tension.

Your muscles aren’t the enemy—they’re just following orders from your nervous system. So if you’re constantly stiff, achy, or feel like you’ve aged 30 years overnight… maybe it’s time to give your nervous system a little TLC!

Who else feels like a tense potato sometimes? 🥔🙋‍♀️ Let me know if you try these tips! ⬇️

How to Keep Your Nervous System Balanced... Because Life is Chaotic Enough! 😵‍💫➡️😌

Ever feel like you're one flat white away from total meltdown? ☕🔥 That’s your nervous system waving a little red flag! 🚩

Your nervous system is basically the control centre of your body—handling everything from stress levels to digestion, sleep, and whether you burst into tears because you dropped a biscuit (we’ve all been there 😭🍪). When it's out of whack, you feel anxious, exhausted, or like you need a six-month nap.

So, let’s keep it in check! Here are four easy ways to bring a bit more zen to your life:

🛋 Home Tip 1: The Vagus Nerve Hack
Humming, singing, or gargling (yes, really) stimulates your vagus nerve—the boss of chill mode! So belt out your favourite song in the car, gargle like a walrus, or hum like an overenthusiastic yogi. Instant calm! 🎤🎶

🛋 Home Tip 2: The Magic of Yawning
Yawning isn’t just for bored meetings or pretending you’re not falling asleep at 8 PM. It’s actually a natural way to regulate your nervous system! A big, exaggerated yawn signals your body to relax, resets your brain, and even increases oxygen flow. Try fake yawning—it often triggers the real thing! 🥱😌

💆‍♀️ Massage: Swedish or Deep Tissue for Stress Release
If you’re constantly feeling like a human knot, deep tissue massage can work out those stress-holding muscles. Swedish massage? That’s like pressing a reset button for your nervous system. Either way, let someone else do the hard work while you pretend to be asleep! 😴💆‍♀️

🧘‍♀️ Yoga: Yin or Fusion Yoga for Deep Relaxation
Yin Yoga is basically therapy for your nervous system—long-held poses that stretch deep into your body, calming everything right down. Fusion Yoga? The perfect blend of movement and stillness to rebalance your energy and shake off the day. Try a class and thank me later! 😉

Your nervous system works 24/7—so be nice to it! Try these and let me know which one works best for you! 💬
