🌸 The Zen Garden 🌸

Just when we thought the zen garden couldn’t get any more beautiful… it’s now the pink blossom trees’ turn to shine.

Soft pink blooms have started to appear, gently opening and bringing a whole new warmth to the space.

These blooms won’t last forever and maybe that’s what makes them so special. A quiet reminder to pause, take it in, and appreciate the moment while it’s here.

If you’ve visited recently, you’ll know exactly what we mean… and if not, it might be the perfect time for a little wander.

☕ Calling all coffee vendors ☕️

We’re on the lookout for a local coffee vendor to set up a lovely little coffee cart within our grounds.

Our space is calm, peaceful, and visited daily and we think a good cup of coffee could go a long way in making those quiet moments a little more comforting (and let’s be honest… we wouldn’t say no either).

So, if you’ve got a mobile coffee setup and fancy bringing your brews to a truly unique setting, we’d love to hear from you.

- No pitching fee - just great coffee needed
- 100% of profits stay with you
- We provide the space, you bring the brews

Know someone perfect for this? Tag them below or send them our way.

✨ FAQ Friday ✨

Can dogs attend a funeral service or laying to rest? 🐾

This is a question we’re asked more often than you might think and the answer is yes, dogs are welcome.

We understand that for many families, dogs aren’t just pets - they’re part of the family. Including them in a farewell can bring real comfort during a difficult time.

If you’re considering bringing a dog along, we simply ask that they are kept on a lead and are well-behaved, so we can make ensure everything runs smoothly for you and other attendees.

We’re always here to help create a service that feels right for you and your loved ones - and we understand that every detail matters, even the four-legged ones 💛

If you have a question you’d like us to feature in a future FAQ Friday, feel free to get in touch or comment below.

🌿 Come take a walk with me 🌿

What a difference a weekend can make…

Over just a few short days, the gardens have transformed. More trees are now in bloom, their soft colours beginning to show, while fresh leaves are appearing all around, bringing a renewed sense of life to the grounds.

There’s a real feeling that spring is settling in now - quietly, but beautifully.

And, as if on cue, we’ve even gained another feathered visitor… our duck family seems to be growing 🦆 watch till the end to see the new addition.

Whether you’re visiting, remembering, or simply passing through, the grounds are always here - offering a peaceful place to pause, reflect, and take a moment for yourself.

There’s a tree in our grounds that has been here for hundreds of years.

It’s not the neatest. It’s not the most perfectly shaped. And it’s certainly not the one people photograph first.

But it’s one of our favourites.

Over the years, it has lost great limbs, battled disease, and even stood quietly through times when it was home to swarms of bees. Pieces of it have fallen away… seasons have been harsh… and yet, it’s still here.

Still standing. Still growing. Still reaching for the light.

There’s something incredibly powerful in that.

Because life has a way of testing us too - in ways we never expect and often feel unprepared for. And like this tree, we may lose parts of ourselves along the way. We may carry scars. We may feel weathered.

But somehow… we keep going.

This tree isn’t our favourite because it’s the most beautiful.
It’s our favourite because of what it represents.

Resilience. Strength. Quiet endurance.

A reminder that no matter what life throws at us, we find a way through 🌳

Nothing quite compares to experiencing our grounds in person… the space, the peacefulness, the way everything just feels a little more gentle when you’re here 🌿

If you’d ever like to take a walk through the grounds or arrange a guided visit, we’d be more than happy to show you the space and talk through the different options available.

We know it’s not always easy to visit, though - so our Memorials brochure is available online whenever you need it, and we can also arrange for a copy to be sent out to you.

Our grounds are here for everyone - whether you’re visiting, remembering, or simply taking a quiet moment 🤍

🌿 A tribute that sits gently within nature 🌿

Designed to blend beautifully into its surroundings, our Tree Vault offers a subtle and peaceful place for remembrance. Crafted from granite, with delicate hand-carved detailing and a polished black inscription plaque, it reflects the natural world in both form and feeling.

Suitable for two sets of ashes, it provides a lasting place to rest together - a quiet, meaningful tribute that feels at one with the landscape around it.

A simple, nature-inspired way to honour and remember someone special 🤍

🌿 Things you may not know about our private gardens… 🌿

If you have ever visited our grounds, you most likely would have seen our private gardens - a familiar part of the landscape, changing with the seasons and cared for throughout the year.

But what’s not always obvious is just how personal each one can be.

Families can choose the tree that sits at the heart of their garden, the style and colour of the chippings, and even the granite sets that form the outer edge. The shape of the garden can also be chosen, such as being built in the shape of a heart or circle.

Location is just as personal. Gardens can be created in different areas across the grounds, allowing families to choose a setting that feels right to them - whether that’s somewhere sunny, shaded, or close to a familiar spot.

For some, it’s somewhere to pause for a few quiet moments. For others, it becomes a place to return to time and time again.

A place to sit, to reflect, or simply to be 🤍

If you would like more information about our private gardens, please feel free to pop into our office, call us on 01509 230240, or email loughborough.memorialoffice@thecmg.co.uk.

We’ve had some very special visitors return to our grounds… 🦆 🦆 🦆

After missing them last year, we’re so pleased to see our familiar feathered friends back again! Each year, a lovely female duck arrives with her two very devoted admirers never far behind her side and it’s safe to say they’ve made themselves right at home once more.

In previous years, we’ve even been lucky enough to spot tiny ducklings waddling through the grounds, bringing smiles to both staff and visitors alike.

After recently naming our robins, we thought it was only right that our returning trio get names of their own… and we’d love your help! 💬
Drop your name suggestions in the comments 👇

It’s little moments like this that make our gardens feel even more connected to nature - peaceful, full of life, and quietly comforting for all who spend time here.

Keep an eye out if you’re visiting… you might just spot our resident trio making their rounds 👀
