💭"My message to athletes is simple: competing clean is the only path to true, fair sport. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about the testing process - we’re here to support your clean sport journey."
- Paul French, UKAD Doping Control Personnel (DCP)

The International Doping Control community at a Major Games is made up of experienced testers from across the globe - including our own from UKAD. 🙌

When speaking with Paul about his experience at Milano Cortina, he expressed feeling "incredibly honoured to be selected to join the international doping control community for the Winter Games, representing UKAD as an iDCO on the global stage."

Jo has put it perfectly, we all want to be competing on a level playing field, and that's why it's so important to report anyone that you think might be taking shortcuts and doping.

Tell UKAD and we will look into it.

Sport is built on integrity, respect, and fair play.
When an athlete chooses to dope, they could be taking the place of someone that got to where they are the right way, through hard work and dedication.

Protect Your Sport! If you suspect someone of doping, don’t stay silent. Report it.

Whether currently competing abroad at the Winter Olympics, or preparing for the upcoming Paralympics, make sure you are up to date on your Whereabouts responsibilities 🚨

Here are some top tips for filling in your Whereabouts:
🗺️Include as much detail as possible when providing your locations, such as directions, What3Words or attach an image
🏨If staying in a hotel, provide your room number and notify reception that doping control may arrive
🚪If you don't know your room number at a hotel in advance, add the address in advance and update it with the room number when you arrive
📱Set reminders on your phone so that you don't forget
👥Remind your teammates and hold each other accountable

For more tips and advice for updating Whereabouts, visit UKAD's website, where we have a full Whereabouts guide. 🔗https://brnw.ch/21x032B

UKAD just launched a new chatbot, called WhistleBot, designed specifically for providing guidance on reporting doping in sport.

UKAD’s WhistleBot responds with tailored replies to offer users access to accurate information about the reporting process, provides encouragement to promote whistleblowing behaviour and helps support the decision to report suspicions of doping.

This International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we spoke with UKAD's Science and Medicine Assistant, Ruth Leese, about things she wish she knew before starting a career in science.

If you're thinking about a career in science, the biggest take away is that there are always people that will help you, and it's ok to ask questions.

Science is a team sport and everyone has a role to play, whether that be doing the routine work, lab work or applying it to real world scenarios 🙌
