We've launched an Asthma Inhaler Threshold Calculator on our website - helping athletes, who suffer with asthma or other breathing conditions, to understand when their inhaler use is prohibited in sport ✅

The calculator is simple to use. The user inputs the substance, the number of puffs they take and the dose. The calculator then works out the final amounts and whether the inhaler use is permitted or prohibited in sport. The tool helps to explain the conditional anti-doping status of these four substances - inhaled formoterol, inhaled salbutamol, inhaled salmeterol and inhaled vilanterol.

Visit our asthma inhaler webpage for information on asthma inhalers, and scroll down to the calculator to get your results.

The risk with taking supplements is that there is no guarantee that they are free from prohibited substances❕

Even if it doesn't list a prohibited substance on the ingredients list, it doesn't mean its free from the risk of being contaminated.

If you do decide to take supplements, manage these risks by only using batch tested supplements, and always check and record the batch number ✅

A reflection on UKAD's now former mascot, Squeaky...

There have been many versions of Squeaky since their creation for London 2012, and along the way they've met a lot of athletes and visited many places

However, the key message from Squeaky has always been the same... The importance of integrity, respect, fair play and being 100% you.

UKAD's Major Games education will continue on with this messaging and help to ensure athletes can say they are proud to be 100% clean.
