Hello everyone, and sorry it’s been so quiet on here! We’ve been busy working with private clients and some other exciting projects in Loughton over the summer. But we wanted to let you know our group and private sessions are very much up and running and available to book. Also, we are hearing more and more about celebrities who have used hypnobirthing and we wanted to add our view. England star Harry Kane said how proud he was of his wife Kate for using hypnobirthing during their daughter Vivienne’s birth in 2018, and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton said it was “hugely powerful” during her difficult pregnancies. But A-lister endorsement is a double-edged sword. On the one hand it’s great to raise awareness but hypnobirthing isn’t a fad or an exclusive trend. Hypnobirthing should be available to everyone. It reduces the need for drugs and interventions such as caesareans which cost the NHS a fortune through surgeons, anaesthetists, and longer hospital stays. Birth isn’t a competition and however a woman brings her baby into the world is amazing and totally her choice. We wish more hospitals offered the full course which has time and time again been shown to work. Don’t take our word for it, there are so many videos of hypnobirthing births available online for anyone to see if you want to do your own research.
