We’re thrilled to share the highlights from our latest internal culture celebration! Each month, a staff member takes the stage to showcase their homeland and its rich traditions. This month, our talented caregiver Lillian from Blue Bell brightened the event with her captivating presentation about Norway 🇳🇴.

The residents were captivated as she took us on a journey through her homeland, sharing iconic sights, intriguing historical tales, and personal photographs—including a stunning shot of the Northern Lights, a heartfelt picture with her grandfather, and an adventurous boat story.

The atmosphere was filled with curiosity and warmth. To top it off, Lillian brought traditional Norwegian food, offering everyone a delicious taste of her culture—authentic and truly interesting. We’re so impressed by Lillian’s extra effort in creating this memorable experience, and we’re excited to share her wonderful story with all of you!

We’re excited to kick off the autumn season with a lively and fun-filled cooking workshop at Woodland Grove! With pumpkins being in full harvest, we delighted in creating a simple, tasty recipe: Pumpkin Gnocchi.

Our enthusiastic Lifestyle Manager led residents in making gnocchi from scratch, exploring three different ways to cook this delicious dish. Everyone got hands-on experience, using fresh herbs from our garden like sage, basil, and chili to spice things up.

It was a fantastic chance for residents to bond over culinary creativity and share some laughs.

Looking ahead, our upcoming cooking workshop will feature traditional Diwali dishes with a special twist—thanks to our talented resident, Mrs. Prem. We can't wait to share this festive experience with everyone!

Yesterday was Mental Health Day, and we made a small positive reminder to our staff and residents that we are here for each other.

In a world where many people are silently battling mental health challenges, it’s important to remember that you're not alone in this journey. We hope these words from Russ Harris bring you comfort and strength.

“Slow, deep breathing is important… It’s like an anchor in the midst of an emotional storm: the anchor won’t get rid of the storm, but it will hold you steady until it passes.”
