Norovirus is a stomach bug that causes diarrhoea and vomiting.

Cases of norovirus are higher than normal at the moment. Despite being known as a 'winter bug', it can spread all year round. And in this hot weather it’s especially important to stay hydrated.

With an amber heat alert issued across England, remember that vulnerable people are more at risk from higher temperatures.

If you or your family member is ready to leave hospital, please help us get your loved one home.

By supporting us, a bed will be available for someone who medically needs it.

You can help us get your relatives home by providing transport to take relatives home, ensuring the home is stocked with essentials such as food, drink and medicines and bringing clean, comfortable clothes for relatives.

Today we are celebrating 77 years of our beloved NHS! It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements our healthcare system has made in Lincolnshire.

A huge THANK YOU to our NHS staff, carers and their families and to our local partners, amazing volunteers and local residents.

As ever the NHS is continually evolving and that is now even more at the forefront with the changes to how health services are planned to be delivered as well as the publication of the 10-year plan for the NHS.

Happy 77th birthday NHS and here’s to the next milestone. 🎈
